Video advert placed right over the writing part of each post

I can't see the writing well enough on the desktop site.

Still, I'm not doing too much better with the mad whisking ads at the minute.

I am having a different problem.
Using the site happily but in the forums keep getting this.

Not always the same garment!
It won't close.

How many more times do I have to watch scones being made?
It's bonkers.
And, yes, I agree MissA, these ads do impinge on the writing space which is downright annoying.

I m not getting any of the ones posted I do sometimes get cake making but it’s inbetween the writing so I kind of wipe it out my brain i mon Safari

It just started today with me.
An advert at the top which blocks text. Click the wee x. But it comes back all the time, on each thread.
Most irritating.

I’ve just started getting a large advert for sewing stuff which covers almost the entire page of text. When I click on the X another page pops up that has no X so I can’t get rid of it. It’s only on Gransnet and only on some threads - not all. Really annoying!

A bit more info - ad is from ‘Spellbinders UK’. It’s for craft things. Appears to be mostly on the News & Politics thread for me.

Too many adverts taking up three-quarters of the screen and compressing posts to the bottom quarter. Very irritating

Mine isn't always there. I cleared cookies so it's not that.

Yes, the adverts get on my nerves a bit too. I've repeatedly seen one for bras for those of us with droopy boobs - how do they know?

Yes. the whole page makes everything pointless.

I am constantly getting various ads for different products. Cannot get rid of them, getting fed up of using gransnet now as I have to keep going in and out. It has taken me ages to write this as and keeps coming up. Very similar on Mumsnet.

I can't see anything except the pop up advert. We had this before with an aldi pop up.
