Well that was a long outage wasn’t it?

Not a lot of point in saying Good Morning, but I will anyway.
How did you all spend your morning without Gransnet?

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Sat 11-Oct-25 12:21:30

Reading the newspapers on line. Watching Himself sleep.
Drinking extra mugs of tea. Still in my pj’s. 😊

Mollygo Sat 11-Oct-25 12:22:00

Went swimming, then walked the dog, then went shopping and had lunch.
Popping in every now and again to check.

I’ve just sitting here, vegetating. Had quite a busy week and I’m enjoying the peace and not having to be somewhere at a set time!

Good Morning all.

DD1 &her DH came & her DH updated my pc for an extra year’s support on windows 10.
I have ironing to do later - exciting stuff!

merlotgran Sat 11-Oct-25 12:31:11

I had a shower later than usual , spent a bit more time tidying the kitchen then generally faffed about while checking to see if Gransnet was back. Going out for tea this afternoon so good have a little catch up now.

Caught up with my crochet , and trying to get the site up !
I’m on my own today , everyone else enjoying a weekend away !

RosesandLilac Sat 11-Oct-25 12:33:21

Hobbling around with my backache, tidying up and getting the washing done - I’ve optimistically managed to hang it on the line but I’m not convinced it’ll dry 😊
DH has walked bigger dog and is now out with tiddler.
Ham and chips for dinner.
I hope today goes well for you all 🌹

Made Christmas chutney, and tidied up some outdoor pots swept some steps down, did some washing, read the papers, listened to a podcast and generally fiddled. Now sat waiting for a smoked salmon bagel with yogurt to follow by DH😊

Good Afternoon,
I missed the GM thread this morning.
Glad all is up and running again now- I kept trying to login and thought it was me.

I blamed the intermittent wifi at the caravan site we were staying at 🤣
Then we got home about 2 hours ago and realised it was still down. 🤨

Now just got to empty the caravan and load the washer- sometimes I do wonder if going away is worth it- there always seems so much to do on returning!
Will however have a browse of GN first I think, no point in rushing domestic chores today🤪

Ooooshock worst case scenarios were beginning to occur, the site was out of action for so long. I've become such a creature of on line habits, the news various sources, Duolingo and GN in no particular order

dragonfly46 Sat 11-Oct-25 12:38:20

I have cut DH's hair (hang over from Covid lockdown), fought my way round Tesco as my dishwasher monitor forgot to mention we were out of tabs and tidied the house ready for the cleaners this afternoon.

TerriBull Sat 11-Oct-25 12:38:25

I have a step granddaughter coming to lunch so was quite busy making lasagna and salad, she'll be here soonish.

Oreo Sat 11-Oct-25 12:41:08

Only just logged on, didn’t know there was a problem.Out early to look after DGC as DD not very well.

LucyAnna5 Sat 11-Oct-25 12:42:10

Good site to check if GN is down for everyone or just oneself -

ViceVersa Sat 11-Oct-25 12:44:36

It's definitely soup season here - so I made a big pot of lentil soup.

loopyloo Sat 11-Oct-25 12:45:59

Had my Covid jab and listened to my daughter talking about work!!

HowVeryDareYou2 Sat 11-Oct-25 12:46:01

Wasted time on Facebook and YouTube
Cleaned the bathroom
Hung the washing out
Spoke to a friend for an hour

Maremia Sat 11-Oct-25 12:46:09

Zoom meeting, so didn't realise until after. Good to see you all.

Grandmabatty Sat 11-Oct-25 12:48:07

RosieandherMaw it's been strange and perhaps a warning that I rely on it too much. I've been up since before six with sore feet and hips, so had coffee early, put on a washing, then went to Aldi for food. On my return I stripped the bed and washed the whites and had breakfast. The whites are now dry and my hips are less painful (I put on the heating). The fencers finished the job and my drive is now looking good with plenty of space for my car. Washing number 3 is in the machine and I've had a roll on sausage for lunch. This afternoon I will potter about the house and rest intermittently. Dinner will be mince and tatties. The weather is cool and sunny. A pleasant day. Have a good day all

MaizieD Sat 11-Oct-25 12:48:34

I went shopping then did some work on my long neglected family tree. The impulse to do it was spurred on by the 'reparations' thread on N&P.

Usedtobeblonde Sat 11-Oct-25 12:49:44

Lots of coffee, chats with my GD and her BF, long phone call with my D and generally missing GN.
I was imagining life without GN if it never came back and realised just how sad that was.

RosieandherMaw Sat 11-Oct-25 12:50:55

It is indeed Grandmabatty - I am shocked but not necessarily surprised at how much some people have done in the time it usually takes me to read all the GM posts, especially the novellas! (Novellae?)

GrannyGravy13 Sat 11-Oct-25 12:52:56

Been to local butchers and small Sainsbury’s.

Started on getting the house back to normal(ish) still lots of little jobs for builders to do, no flooring in kitchen, hallway, lobby, downstairs loo or laundry/utility rooms, some paintwork needs glossing.

ronib Sat 11-Oct-25 12:54:08

Looked at Mumsnet and impressed by some of the comments. Did more gardening.
