what ive past down to my kids is always use baby oil after a bath or showr to keep your skin super soft

I was definitely taught to live by the less is more theory by my mum, and to look after your skin.

My mother taught me to moisturise my face regularly and look after my teeth

My Mother always washed her face with warm water and a soft flannel no soap. Once a week she cleaned her teeth with salt and soot from our chimney.My Mother had beautiful clear skin. She also had all her own white teeth when she passed away.

Always moisturise morning and night. She gave me this advice when I was seventeen and I have adhered to this rigidly (I'm now 61) and I believe her wise words have paid off.

My mum passed on her Nivea to me, she always made sure she used it every morning and night to moisturise, its good for the hands, face, body and great for your lips in this cold weather. Always put moisture on because there is a lot of things around to dry your skin out.

Her latest bit of advice has been Leighton Denny nail products to protect my nails and she has convinced me to try eyebrow threading with her when we next go shopping

Just smile! If you have a great smile and lovely personality, it doesn't matter too much what you look like.

My mother had beautiful soft clear skin all her life and never used anything other than Palmolive soap and occasionally Pond's Vanushing cream. Sadly she did not pass this on to me as my face has always been dry, especially in winter with the cold winds so I use moisturising products designed for my age group. My advice to my daughter was simply to find out by trial and error what suited her skin and stick to it but to make sure she checked from time to time to see if maybe an upgrade was needed to a better moiturising product. No matter how good the cosmetics applied without a suitable base it could all be in vain.

My mum swears by moisturising every night and I must say it's catching on with me, I am slowly getting into the habit of it!

Always put oil in your hair to leave it silky and health when washed. This one worked wonders for my frizzy and often unmanageable hair.
