Cruises can be a great way to see the world and visit multiple places in one holiday! Holland America Line would love you to share what your dream cruise destination would be and why you would choose that place.

Here’s what Orlando Ashford President of Holland America Line has to say: “A Holland America Line cruise does so much more than merely take people from one place to the next. It enriches and enlightens us as we discover new places, cultures and people. It brings the world closer together, journey by journey”

Perhaps you have a city halfway across the world that you would love to visit? Maybe you would like to visit a country you’ve never been to before but is a little closer to home? Or do you dream of taking a trip to a small island somewhere?

Whatever your ideal cruise destination share it on the thread below, along with reason why and you’ll be entered into a prize draw where one GNer will win a £300 voucher of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck!

The caribbean, on a relatively small ship. I'm lucky enough to have done this and it was wonderful - waking up to a different tropical island each morning (well worth the extra for an outside cabin). Seems like a dream now!

I am going on my first cruise later this year along the Norwegian Fjords. It is part of my 60th birthday present to myself. DD & ex partner are coming with me. So as this is my first cruise this has to be a dream cruise for me. Norway is a beautiful country, I do believe, & I am so hoping to see the Northern Lights!

I'd would love to cruise all around Australia,
such a diverse country.

We have cruised but never with Holland America.............

Fly-cruising is the only option for me (cutting out the Bay of Biscay) and cruising anywhere is just bliss.

We have not yet taken a cruise from Vancouver so that is on my little list - it musts be amazing to see sights of Alaska.

I've never been on a cruise unless you count Newhaven to Dieppe grin. I'd quite like to cruise from Australia back to the UK taking in, in particular, Vietnam and Cambodia but perhaps my maiden voyage should be shorter, say a gentle amble up the Douro with frequent stops for landlubber legs (and port)

Love to end in Venice after a cruise round the mediterranean as I loved it when I went with the school for 2 weeks and love to walk down memory lane and visit the wonderful countries again after 35 years to see how much has changed and as I said to visit Venice again and have a gondola ride as I only got the morning before flying home when I was 16, happy days back then

I've never been lucky enough to experience a cruise, although friends and family have enjoyed various cruises, extolling the virtues of indulgent treats and service on board, and wonderful places they have visited.

I would love to visit somewhere exotic such as Hawaii and Tahiti, and see some wonderful sites. The Seven Sacred pools, Hilo's beautiful exotic botanical gardens and molten lava flows, along with watching surfers riding the crashing waves on the beaches.

Traditional Hawaiian freshly caught fish dishes at a luau and all the other exotic dishes would be wonderful to try.

I feel that a cruise should be a fabulous experience which will never be forgotten, and I would definitely remember this one!

I would love to visit Norway

falconer Fri 04-May-18 09:06:55

Norway, without a doubt. With all its fjords impeding normal means of transport, a cruise is the only way to get to see the wonderful scenery.
