We all have a dream destination that we’d love to travel to - somewhere where you’ve always wanted to go, but never got around to visiting. While some would love to go on Safari in South Africa, others would be happier lounging on the white sand beaches of Greece. Whether you’d like to travel near or far, there can be many barriers to travel. Perhaps you simply don’t have the time to travel, or think that the total cost of the trip might break the bank? Or maybe you have fears about not being able to speak the language, or your health not being protected while abroad? With this in mind, Staysure would love to hear from you.

Here’s what Staysure have to say: “At Staysure, we believe that if something’s worth doing, then it’s worth doing right. That’s why our customers voted us the UK’s Best Travel Insurance Provider in the British Travel Awards.

We all want to be able to enjoy our holiday, knowing that we will be covered should something happen. We do not want to have to worry about possible repercussions and for that reason having good quality travel insurance should be a priority.”

If you could book a ticket right now, where in the world would you like to visit? What are the barriers that are stopping you from going (eg health, finances, mobility, fear of flying)? Is travel insurance important to you when booking a trip? Does travel insurance give you the piece of mind that you’ll be protected when abroad, or do you have some reservations about what will be covered.

So whether you want to take the trip of a lifetime or just a short weekend away, share below what it is that’s stopping you and you’ll be entered into a prize draw where one lucky GNer will win a £300 voucher for a store of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck!

Las Vegas. Have little to no interest in gambling but would love to see all the shows, the fountains, and all the sights; then pop up up to the Grand Canyon for a long walk

Italy land that I love. Italy land of my dreams.
Italy where the art of Florence is quite a sight.
Italy land where the isle of Capri shines bright.
Italy where the cities of Milan and Naples do bustle.
Italy land where the gondolas of Venice still hustle.
Italy where Rome and the Coliseum stand majestic.
Italy land where the vineyards and countryside of Tuscany
are beautifully rustic.
Italy where the Leaning Tower of Pisa still stands.
Italy land where Sicily and its people are grand.
Italy where pasta, wine, and cappuccino are the norm.
Italy land where opera is sung and new fashions are born.
Italy land that I love. Italy land of my dreams.
Viva Italia!

New Zealand I’ve wanted to go since I was 5 when my aunt who was a air stewardess with air canada emigrated there. She loved it and I loved her

I am probably unique in the fact that I could travel anywhere in the world yet have no desire to.
I prefer to sit in my home and watch DVDs of exotic places, no injections needed and probably get to see more than tourists are allowed to visit.

It would have to be Wales as i went there often as a child. Cost is an issue as the farmhouse i stayed at has been sold to a company who charge a lot for this place which has no power, ameneties or wi-fi (bliss)

I have always fancied visiting Sweden. I used to work in a department that dealt with Nordic companies, so would be great to visit some of the places I know only my name.

would love to travel along route 66 in USA on a Harley Davidson motor bike

maryandbuzz1 Thu 30-Jan-20 12:13:09

For me it would have to one of the South American countries. It would be amazing to experience different cultures and life styles. However the cost of getting there puts me off as well as the distance.

Alaska. By train. Stunning scenery. The only thing stopping me is cash. In my dreams.

kama88 Thu 30-Jan-20 12:35:06

Costa Rica! Decent flight prices are stopping me at the moment. I always use travel insurance - I pay with Amex so I'm covered for a variety of issues.

I'd love to have a tour round India, to see everything from the palaces, to the spice markets, the culture, music, food etc. I haven't been because I have nobody to go with, my partner couldn't get insurance (not for less than a bazillion pounds anyway), and I don't want to/am to scared to go solo.

Funkyferret Thu 30-Jan-20 12:39:54

I'd love to take a trip to the Galapagos Islands. We are fit but busy so scheduling is a barrier as well as being hesitant to spend a lot of money on a trip when I always think we may need it for something else of some emergency!

kamoc Thu 30-Jan-20 12:41:59

there are so many places that I haven't been it's hard to know where to begin
