Every 2 years I deck the car with England flags for either the World Cup or Euros. This year, I have England wing mirror covers too. The flags are not usually on for long, but I never give up hope of a 1966 repeat performance.
First England match just about to kick off, but it's being Sky-plussed to watch later as grandsons are here for tea.
So I'll now have to steeer clear of GN, Twitter, Facebook, News etc
Proudly been a Chelsea supporter for 43 years and always support our England team. However, being of Dutch descent, I have been known to display the Dutch flag whenever England have been knocked out!
My weakness is Fernando Torres who now plays for Chelsea. He is my (not so secret) crush , so maybe I should buy a Spanish flag to add to my collection?
My two grown up sons tease me relentlessly whenever Fernando has a bad game, but my two grandsons (aged 12 and 2) jump around the room with me when he scores
Over the last two weeks I have been suffering from "empty nest syndrome" as my youngest son has just moved out, so having the Euros to watch in the evenings has been a blessing!
As Scotland is not in the picture, I don't take much interest. I don't mind watching the highlights, but to have to watch 90 minutes of football and endure the talking heads at half time is beyond endurance!
