We had our first kayak paddle today for this year. Late start, but we had a very cold spring, and it seemed whenever we had a day free of chores the weather was not nice.
Paddled about 3.5 km downwind on a small lake, stopped and rested on a dock of a cabin (nobody home), then started the very vigorous up wind paddle back! Tired in a good way, with shoulder muscles well used. I'm sure I will feel it tomorrow.
