If the Danish goalie had noticed the taser before the incident he should have alerted the Ref and asked him to stop play while it was investigated.

As someone who has used red dot optics I really can’t understand where the idiot with the laser had been sitting. Having been in several football grounds and watched several matches it would be very difficult to actually see a player’s eye, yet alone shine a tiny pen beam into it. I’m glad Schmeical has said he wasn’t even aware of it.

The slow handclapping at Wimbledon only occurs when a point is being disputed.

Foxyferret agree, teams have always booed the opposition. The difference is that teams used to come onto the pitch separately, now they come out together, so the first opportunity is the anthems at games they’re played at. No reflection on the anthems, just the opposition, as in other sports.
I’ve always thought the slow hand clapping at Wimbledon a bit odd too, the crowd used to boo, but no one mentions that.

If Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland (or even Ireland because one nephew’s family live there) were playing Italy in the final I’d cheer for them too. Cheering Italy just because your UK team didn’t get through is a bit pathetic, but we will only hear if they did via the media, social or otherwise because that sort of thing makes a good story for some folk.

It's an 'Anyone but England' syndrome which some (not all) Scots seem to have developed.

They are welcome as many of us are starting to feel they'd support Anyone But Scotland with all the negativity that emanates from the Scots now.

This group of players and manager seem much less diva-like than previous teams who usually got knocked out early, plus we haven’t seen lots about how much money their girlfriends spend on bags or whatever. Much more diverse and socially aware . I wonder if that Tory MP who called them “woke babies” and wouldn’t be watching has changed his mind yet. Gareth Southgate for PM!
