Is it just me, but what did you think of the Lionesses’ coming home trousers and shorts ensembles? I imagine they were designed specially for the occasion, but I thought they were really unflattering and bland.

No it's not just you. I thought it might be just me grin

It’s just a corporate uniform of sorts I suppose. We will likely find they were by some designer, Stella McCartney perhaps?

kittylester Tue 29-Jul-25 10:45:18

I thought they looked great. And, obviously, gave scope for individuality.

I liked the outfits.
You can shop the collection at M & S.

Bridie22 Tue 29-Jul-25 10:59:39

I thought they looked lovely, they could have come back in bin bags and I wouldn't be bothered after all their hard work!

Mollygo Tue 29-Jul-25 10:59:41

I didn’t think they were unflattering, but when you’re catering for so many different looks and tastes, they probably thought neutral was the way to go.

Me too!

But then, perhaps I'm a tad boring.
Or classic.

They are sponsored by M&S, some could carry it off, others no so much, think it was that "Green" colour that was difficult to wear.
But, they are all amazing and glad they are all home safe.

Jaxjacky Tue 29-Jul-25 11:08:41

Didn’t really notice, just pleased and proud of them.

vegansrock Tue 29-Jul-25 11:11:01

They are mix n match collection that the women could choose which outfits to wear. They aren't fashion models but athletes. I wonder what the critics would prefer them to wear - tight dresses and high heels? Cabin crew style uniforms?

Allira Tue 29-Jul-25 11:11:03

I wouldn't have thought they were outrageous enough to comment but apparently some on Mumsnet are enraged!
Nothing different on there then 😂

Oreo Tue 29-Jul-25 11:12:47

It was a bit of a strange mix/look, a sort of ninja meets army personnel 😂
Have seen worse tho.

henetha Tue 29-Jul-25 11:33:51

Their clothes seem so unimportant after the marvellous things they have achieved. They looked ok, I thought.

escaped Tue 29-Jul-25 11:48:40

Without wishing to start another trouser suit thread, the lady with the long brown hair didn't quite carry the look off in the same way. But to be fair, she seems very involved.

Oh, just when I was thinking, how lovely, no photos of AR.

dogsmother Tue 29-Jul-25 11:56:31

So proud of them all in particular our Guernsey girl being part of the squad if not yet having minutes on the pitch.

GrannyGravy13 Tue 29-Jul-25 11:58:14

I liked the outfits, they had just travelled back from Switzerland after (I hope) having a really fabulous celebratory party.

They looked fabulous, all radiating joy, and why shouldn’t they after their achievement.

Wider leg trousers along with waistcoats and boyfriend style blazers are in this summer.

I bet Keir would rather have been hosting this event, sooner than glad handing Donald up in Scotland.

David49 Tue 29-Jul-25 12:48:21

They look rather bland to me are they M&S or some other stores promotion line.

Could do better - a lot better

Apparently supplied be Nike

I really liked them. It must be difficult to design a look for a group of very athletic women.

Don't you believe it. He would far rather be toadying up to his bestie, Donald.
