Is it just me, but what did you think of the Lionesses’ coming home trousers and shorts ensembles? I imagine they were designed specially for the occasion, but I thought they were really unflattering and bland.

Would we have had the same comments about the men's team if they had won?

Here are some images.
I don't understand what all the fuss is about.

The "waistcoat" is particularly smart

Oh dear, yet another interesting thread hijacked by Starmer invective.

Tbf the outfits are the subject of the thread, not the football prowess.

Honestly? Those amazing girls just made us all feel so proud, and all someone can do is critisise their outfit! Unbelievable!

I totally agree with you 👍

So do I.

Oxygen thieves. They never see joy in anything.

I agree with you all!!

If I buy one of these outfits will I be able to play football?
(I never could before).

I really loved the way the outfits were all different but still cohesive.

The way they mixed and matched reflects the team personalities and each could choose the way they wished to present to the public.

I really liked the waistcoat it was so stylish.

Concerning the subject of outfits: as Deputy PM couldn't Angela Rayner have found something in the wardrobe that didn't crease so much? I guess it was linen which creases if you merely look at it.

Windmill, another criticism of a women's clothing, can we stop and just enjoy the moment and the achievements of these women, including Angela Rayner , deputy prime minister of this country.

Ashcombe Wed 30-Jul-25 06:45:44

I thought the outfits were a great choice and suited the women well. Let’s hope M & S benefits from their promotion of this range - they need the business!

Yes, a criticism of the garment, compared with the M & S ones, not the actual body or person inside it!!
The opening post and its category is what fits badly, is full of flaws and ties us in knots. (Pun, just incase). 😆

Disagree Sarnia . He is not toadying up to the Orange One. He is walking a tight line in an attempt to do his best for the U.K. He is a consummate barrister with all the skills necessary to get the best from his adversary. When Trump started to rubbish our Mayor in front of all those journalists. His light but meaningful remark “Hold on he is a friend of mine”set the position straight without alienation.

Khan shouldn’t have demeaned his office as Mayor by the things he said publicly about Trump nor should he have allowed the flying of the DT baby blimp.Hopefully he’s learned the art of diplomacy now.

Hold on! 😂This isn’t the right thread Lovetopaint037
