Is it just me, but what did you think of the Lionesses’ coming home trousers and shorts ensembles? I imagine they were designed specially for the occasion, but I thought they were really unflattering and bland.

Well I rather like Angela Rayn e r too.
But the thread is about style and trouser ensembles. AR just happened to be there and a comparison of the outfit was made. Nothing wrong with her, more the fabric and the style. The colour was good.

Well I like Angela Raynor and think it s cheap to keep digging about her clothes if you don’t like her just leave her alone she looks fine As do the team …why do women criticise other women so much

bluebird243 Tue 29-Jul-25 14:39:02

I imagine it difficult to design outfits to be worn by every member in the team, different heights, shapes and preferences. I think they looked just fine.

Anyway the Lionesses are athletes, used to 'kit', they aren't models/coat hangers to please critics.

Personally I didn't really notice, all I saw was joy and happiness in their faces, and their pride and fondness for each other and their gratitude shining out. They deserve our respect not bitching about appearances.

It was a shame they had to wear chain store outfits as they deserve something better.

What do the Lions coming home outfits look like?

The Lions are a rugby team made up of players from England, Wales, Scotland and N Ireland, known as The `British and `Irish Lions.

They are currently on tour in Australia, we will have to wait to see what they wear in their return.

All the clothes are on M&S website together with a list of stores that have the stock. There’s also a few pics of the girls modelling them. Basically, buy into the lioness phenomenon by purchasing the M&S clothes which seem relatively affordable.

Maybe if the OP had been put under the heading Style and Beauty, then the thread might have kept on the ball better?
Though discussions do wander.

Honestly? Those amazing girls just made us all feel so proud, and all someone can do is critisise their outfit! Unbelievable!

Yes, ignore the achievement and criticise the clothes. I thought women had got over judging women by how they look but, alas, I have burned my bra in vain.

Oh dear, yet another interesting thread hijacked by Starmer invective.
I haven't checked the potato recipe one yet, but .....

I totally agree with you 👍

So do I.

I think I"m keeping Nike in business the amount of kit I buy DGCs.

Added to that, DGS1 plays for a European team academy, their kit is made by Adidas. I"m hoping he'll pay me back one day with an apartment in Italy.

They look rather bland to me are they M&S or some other stores promotion line.

Could do better - a lot better

Apparently supplied be Nike

No the outfits worn at 10 Downing St yesterday were supplied from M & S and all availed in store.

In which case AI got it wrong, seemed strange to me

I bet Keir would rather have been hosting this event, sooner than glad handing Donald up in Scotland.

Don't you believe it. He would far rather be toadying up to his bestie, Donald.

I really liked them. It must be difficult to design a look for a group of very athletic women.

Without wishing to start another trouser suit thread, the lady with the long brown hair didn't quite carry the look off in the same way. But to be fair, she seems very involved.

😂😂

GrannyGravy13 Tue 29-Jul-25 11:58:14

I liked the outfits, they had just travelled back from Switzerland after (I hope) having a really fabulous celebratory party.

They looked fabulous, all radiating joy, and why shouldn’t they after their achievement.

Wider leg trousers along with waistcoats and boyfriend style blazers are in this summer.

dogsmother Tue 29-Jul-25 11:56:31

So proud of them all in particular our Guernsey girl being part of the squad if not yet having minutes on the pitch.

eazybee Tue 29-Jul-25 11:56:06

Oh, just when I was thinking, how lovely, no photos of AR.
