I wear leggings, I can honestly say I have never taken my age into consideration as to what I wear, all my life as long as my bum and tummy is tucked away tidy, I do not give a jot

I love legging, jeggings and treggings. I wear them with long boots, ankle boots and pumps.

Leggings and boots, you can't beat them. I don't think age comes into this one really. They look good on any age, worn with long jumpers, tunics or whatever takes your fancy!! I say go for it.

Interrupting the tread, sorry, I love boots!!! I always have, my recent purchase are red one that lace up. I have no reason to wear them so I just look at them

Any skinny jean lovers out there? I prefer them to leggings - more substantial. Never worn with heels though, as I don't possess any.

Really interested to read this thread as I have been wondering if I dare get some leggings but no-one has mentioned socks! My feet are always cold so is it alright to wear socks with leggings or does that just look as if you should have your wellies on?

I would wear boots out of the house, but maybe those sort of slipper socks would work in the house?
I have quite a lot of tunics to wear with mine, but could do with some cheaper long t-shirts to wear over leggings in the house. Any ideas where? I am in the UK and going to Bluewater tomorrow, so should have a bit of choice.

ffinnochio have to agree about skinny jeans - like to wear them with flats or boots - cannot grasp leggings as I am fairly small/short and find the crotch is around my knees and they wrinkle at the ankle
have viewed myself in full length mirror when wearing skinny jeans and it is not too horrific bad as I have slim legs and ankles and not too big a behind. Only problem with them is the low rise ones have to be belted round my waist rather than sitting on my hips and I invariably have to shorten them being a 'shortie'.
does anyone know if they do leggings in short / skinny leg mode?

I think visible socks with leggings not on really. In the summer, slightly shorter leggings and flats. In the winter , leggings with boots and socks out of sight. Skinny models are sometimes depicted wearing them with short boots but the gap is awkward between full length leggings and tight jeans. Never... Ever.... Wear leggings with heels. It's up there with short skirts combined with low necklines.
