Heard of it? I hadn't until I caught an item on Woman's Hour this morning. Apparently it's a unisex fashion trend, not quite grunge but about undistinguished clothes. It's said to be 'a reaction to a fashion oversaturation resulting from ever faster-changing fashion trends.' The speaker mentioned jeans, hoodies, sweatshirts, sneakers... Then I looked at what I was wearing: cropped denims, denim sneakers and a turquoise tee-shirt. And until that moment I hadn't realised that I was 'on trend'. grin

Sigh! yet another trend that won't last long.

Norman, Trevor, Philip and Stanley..... ghastly names that seem to have vanished.

Where are people going to buy vinyl records from, petra, apart from e-bay? confused

I must be very normcore, not being on FB or Twitter, and never having downloaded any music. It's certainly a trend I'll be sticking to!

( roses, I think quite a few GNetters may have DHs and/or DSs with those names...hmm)

OOOPs! Didna think o that. Apologies in advance to anyone with a DH of that name.
Just had a thought, if too many people adopt the Norm thing, then it becomes really normal, and we would need yet another trend [like the opposite of normal] Abnormcore?

I like that! grin

Normcore must have been invented by people who can't remember the 1950s. grin

grin grin grin It does sound rather grim. I know we all have sensible functional days for clothing, but with everything else as well - a bit dreary! It smacks of all those strange American cults that force women, and men, into Victorian dress and lifestyles.

I don't know where you live, Ana, but there are several independent shops here in Essex. Young people are saying they like the sound of vinyl.

They may well do, petra - but I'm a bit confused. Modern bands don't put their stuff on vinyl, do they? So the young people are just buying old records?
