I think. You should go for it, as long as you get the right style and colour. Black might be too harsh, a mid tan perhaps.

I'd stay away from the biker style with zips!

I have seen some very elegant leather jackets/coats worn by older women recently.

I agree with J52 about the style and colour - and I'd say go for the best quality you can find within your price-range.

You're never too old to wear a leather jacket! Get one that you feel comfortable in, and the best quality you can afford. If it's black (which I would favour), put a colourful scarf on with it? Lovely!

That looks a nice store, but it's in the US. Do they ship to the UK? Wonder how long it takes and if it's frantically expensive.

Good point Jings, I'll have to look into that. I once bought some dress fabric from the USA and shipping cost about 3 times the cost of the cloth.
It misled me when they put the cost of the jacket in euros.
I do like pink - I've got a few clothes in pink, my hair still has some auburn tints.

I would go for it! Why not? I am almost 66 and have just bought a quite tight fitting pink leather biker style jacket. I love it.

I've just clicked on the link. My jacket is similar to that one but has a few more zips. That one is lovely too.

I think it is a great style and would be very tempted if I didn't already own a black leather biker style from Next which I bought last year I can wear it anywhere and it doesn't look out of place.I do however love all the pastel colours.

I spent most of yesterday looking for a "leather" biker jacket for 10 year old's birthday. Not one to be found anywhere.

As an experiment I put an £8.99 t-shirt in basket on Nordstrom. With taxes included it came to £18 something. Shame because they have got a kid's biker jacket. But also, I don't understand their sizing.

Long way to send it back too, if Mr Fussy-drawers doesn't like it.

I think J52 is right leather would be Ok but not black or biker style. I have a lovely butter coloured blazer style one I bought from M & S some years ago - seems to go with most things.

In the past M&S have been good for leather coats and jackets, lovely soft pliable leather. Mine are a few years old, but look as good as new, they age well.

Never too old for a leather or suede jacket, but navy or charcoal or brown rather than black, a three quarter style is timeless.They need to be tried on though, so don't buy online.

TriciaF, yes go for it and as others have said, go for the best quality you can afford. Like KatyK, I bought a short quite tight fitting biker type jacket with zips recently. I love it and I've been surprised how easy it is to wear for all kinds of occasions.
