Nordstrom is rather like TK Max. Original prices are reduced.

Try TKMaxx they have some lovely leather jackets.

Think you'd have to get as far as the check-out to find out what the shipping costs are, though...

Ana Fri 17-Jul-15 18:44:27

It says they ship to the UK. Didn't you get a pop-up window telling you that?

TriciaF Fri 17-Jul-15 18:43:59

Good point Jings, I'll have to look into that. I once bought some dress fabric from the USA and shipping cost about 3 times the cost of the cloth.
It misled me when they put the cost of the jacket in euros.
I do like pink - I've got a few clothes in pink, my hair still has some auburn tints.

That looks a nice store, but it's in the US. Do they ship to the UK? Wonder how long it takes and if it's frantically expensive.

That looks great! Are you going for pink? I would.

This is a possibility:

But I think you're right to get the best quality I can afford.

You're never too old to wear a leather jacket! Get one that you feel comfortable in, and the best quality you can afford. If it's black (which I would favour), put a colourful scarf on with it? Lovely! smile

I have seen some very elegant leather jackets/coats worn by older women recently.

I agree with J52 about the style and colour - and I'd say go for the best quality you can find within your price-range.

J52 Fri 17-Jul-15 17:29:10

I think. You should go for it, as long as you get the right style and colour. Black might be too harsh, a mid tan perhaps.

I'd stay away from the biker style with zips!

Hope you find one that suits you.

When are you too old to wear a leather jacket?
I had a black leather jacket when I was in my 40s to 50s and it lasted for years. Three quarter length, plain tailored.
I need a new jacket now , I'm tired of my current one, yellowy-cream cotton from M&S from 20 years ago, and think I could just about afford a leather one.
But I'm nearly 80 - would I look ridiculous?
