How do you take care of wrinkles on your face? Since it is so stressful to see the wrinkles especially around my eyes these days, I want to know what I should do with them or what products I should use for them.

Are you using eye care products? If you are not, using only facial skin care products could be not enough for the eye wrinkles. Try some eye care products, especially for wrinkle care. The eye treatments I’ve used are Caudalie Premier Cru The Eye Cream, IASO Total Eye Care Concentrate EX, and Kate Somerville Line Release Under Eye Repair Cream. Among them, I like the IASO eye cream the most because it is cheaper than other two, but still works well on moisturizing and relieving wrinkles around my eyes. This is the website I bought this one go-iaso.com/products/iaso-total-eye-care-concentrate-ex.

The product I have found which helps the most is one to use under make up after you have cleaned, toned polished with your preferred products. its Clarins Instant Smooth (£25) a primer which evens out the lines and wrinkles so that make up goes on more smoothly- an illusion but it ia surprisingly good effect and a morale booster too.

Has anyone tried Restylane filler? I have lines coming from my lips, probably because I used to smoke, and I am quite prepared for the discomfort etc., but I remember Leslie Ashe. Anyone got any experience?

No experience but please have this done if you must by a reputable clinic and not the local beauty parlour. remember also you have to have it renewed every so often and the eventual cost can be high.

aqua in a moment of vain madness and in anticipation of a special occasion I had filler in the lines between my nose and corners of my mouth and ended up with a neat row of needle bruises that accentuated it for weeks. I was so embarrassed! And the practitioner was a specialist doctor.

Then on another occasion I had botox in my frown lines and looked like I belonged in Star Trek - it had the effect where it sort of widened the bridge of my nose at the top (as my now weakened eyebrow muscles collapsed in the centre). Also, I can cock one eyebrow (it's genetic) and I couldn't do that with the botox. Didn't like that at all!

Never again.

In my defence, I have 5 glamorous sister-in-laws who are constantly getting their faces seen to and I succumbed to peer pressure grin

I have a lot of things to get stressed about - wrinkles are not on the list.

As a lifetime non-smoker & reluctant embracer of 'expression' lines, I'm really disheartened by the vertical lines above my upper lip that have developed since the menopause. I'm not willing to risk an adverse reaction from surgical/ beautician intervention but lament that they make my outside look a lot more tired & grumpy than I actually feel inside! Any miracle creams or supplements to be recommended?

Well, I have worked hard all my life, been told I am always smiling, and I think the wrinkles are proof of that. Why would I want to get rid of them.

Cosafina Wed 19-Aug-15 15:50:10

I read recently that the best thing for wrinkles was Hyaluronic acid as it naturally holds about 200 times its own size in water (or something) so I tried some stuff from Boots (I think it was called Indeed) and I did think it made a difference. They were only samplers though, so I'm back to my normal Clarins and Boots Serum.

My young friend says her MiL - who is in her 70s and looks about 40 - swears by Helena Rubenstein, but I can't afford that!

I live with hope in my heart. I had lovely smooth skin I thought would last forever..then one day I looked in the mirror and they had arrived!!! unannounced and they bring more friends every day....the dreaded wrinkles!
Now as they seemed to arrive unexpectedly, I live in hope that I may look in the mirror again one day to find they have left have left just as quickly.....so its not something I worry about. Now dearest hubby says never mind the wrinkles how about getting my mind checked out?
grin Nothing wrong with me....its everybody else wink

printmiss smile lines are great, but some people have lines that are not from smiling. I think those vertical lines from the corners of the mouth to the jawline are called "marionette" lines and they are very ageing. Not sure what can be done about those, but I think facial lines can affect self-esteem. I don't have marionette lines or lines above my upper lip but I do have frown lines - hidden by my fringe! smile

I ve been using fillers and Botox for 15 yrs sometimes it's better than others. Bruises can be hidden by panstick for a few days. I have found a good practioners and intend to keep having treatment til I drop.
Take the plunge.

granjura Wed 19-Aug-15 17:04:30

psst us chubby people have a lot less wrinkles ;)

nannabo Wed 19-Aug-15 17:05:27

I think I am quite lucky. I have never used make-up as never found any I liked and I rarely use creams and the wrinkles are staying away lol. I have a few laughter lines but I think that is fine smile as it shows I've had a happy life

Grannyknot those lines from my nose to my mouth are my bete noir (I have others, but these are the worst)

My friend C and I often stand in front of the large mirror in the dining area of my kitchen with our fingers gently applied to our cheeks to check just how little upward movement it takes to make them practically disappear!

(Still tempted to try the pile ointment...........) blush

Ana Wed 19-Aug-15 18:42:08

Only works on undereye bags, phoenix! grin

Anne58 Wed 19-Aug-15 18:49:35

Bugger! I haven't got those!

Although suppose that it does also work on haemm piles? (Never can spell that word)

For ages now, I have used Argan oil. Two squirts with the little pump at the top of the bottle into the palm of my hand and its enough to cover face and neck. It soaks in really quickly. You can use the same product on dry skin anywhere, elbows, shins etc.
i think it is more effective than anything else I have used. You can get it in Boots and occasional in Lidl - it is natural, cheap and a bottle lasts for ages.
Has anyone else tried it?

mrsmopp Wed 19-Aug-15 19:00:00

I was served in a shop today by a very young girl. Her hair was dyed jet black; she wore heavy black eye make up and her eyebrows were heavily pencilled in and looked very thick and black. She had a thick layer of foundation on and it was not a good look.
I couldnt help wondering what her natural face looked like under all that stuff.
I wouldn't worry about a few wrinkles, I think we look better than she did, and she's probably 50 years younger than most of us.

I have been using Boots No 7 serum for a few months now and quite a few friends have said that my skin looks nice ( not knowing I had tried this serum ) so I think it must be doing something .I thought it was expensive at £25 ( or £20 with the £5 off voucher I quite often get when I buy other things from Boots )However it does seem to be lasting me a long time as you don't need much .So I will keep going with it .
