Stage 2 of letting my hair go grey now completed. I have had all my "warm" lowlights cooled down to a cool ash, and very pale silver highlights blended in with the grey which was threatening to break through!
DH says it actually makes my face look "younger" (clever man) but I am now looking at my wardrobe and thinkng about which colours will suit me best. I fear any beige/camel/tan things will not do me any favours, but look forward to " rediscovering" monochrome winter clothes, bright crisp red, white and blue (no not the Union Jack) . Purple and deep pink will also be fine but I think pastels might be for the charity bag.
Oh and I need to look out my lippy!
Have you changed what you wear, especially near your face, at all as your hair colour has "matured" at all?

I prefer to call mine silver, though it hasn't completely gone at the back.

It' lovely Alea, I wish mine was all one colour. I won't put colour on it though as most of them irritate my scalp.

Thank you , memo to self, keep the glasses on, they help hide the wrinkles!
(I am shocked at how quickly it has gone white, using Pro-Voke silver shampoo and conditioner to tone down any last blonde. )

I love the colour and the cut.You look very different to the first photo.

I've been thinking of letting nature takes its course but the trouble is I had dark brown hair with chestnuts glints.

Now I have bright silver coming through on parting and a little at edges - the rest looks a murky faded brown, not at all attractive. I've been dying it myself, a medium brown.

I can't afford to keep paying for highlights - did wonder if I should have it all bleached lighter, then see what happens.

My DGC were incredulous when my DD told them that my hair used to be brown, and Grandpa's was black, cand he had lots! So here I am with grey hair which is becoming silvery white as the time passes.

Here is a picture of me with my grey hair with Shaun the Sheep. My hair was originally very dark brown.

Sadly, the curl isn`t natural, it`s down to perming lotion and a hairdressing student at the local college! The puppy is my daughter and her husband`s, name of Duke, and he`s gorgeous. Will think about the portrait Soop.

soop Thu 03-Sep-15 13:25:50

number yes, you do have lovely hair. I think that the puppy should have a portrait painted. Do you have any other images that you can share with me? smile xxx

annsixty Thu 03-Sep-15 09:10:13

That is really silver number and many of us will envy you the thickness. It is lovely.

kittylester Thu 03-Sep-15 08:05:57

I'd love to have your hair number, is the curl natural?

Lona Thu 03-Sep-15 08:00:24

Your hair looks great number, shiny and thick! smile

Alea Thu 03-Sep-15 07:48:09

Looks a lovely silvery grey to me, and the pink is stunning! You look to have lovely thick hair envy too!

Falconbird Thu 03-Sep-15 06:09:25

Hello numberplease.

Love your hair and it's curly too - nice. Also love the Alsatian puppy.

numberplease Thu 03-Sep-15 01:37:04

My hair is refusing to go the whole hog about going grey, it looks mucky with grey mixed in with brown. Maybe one day.........

janeainsworth Wed 02-Sep-15 23:39:14

Your hair looks a lovely colour janer
I can't see any white steaks! My two SiLs had quite dark auburn hair which has gradually gone lighter without any white/grey hairs being obvious at all envy
