Errm, how do I get it off?

That lilac sparkly nail varnish that I put on my toes on Friday?

When I started applying it, it went on as a sort of colourless thing, with a few sparkly bits. Mr suggested that rather than paint coats on, I sort of "dabbed" it to get enough coverage.

We both agreed that the end result looked ok, but that it might be an idea in future to buy a lilac coloured ordinary one, and use the sparkly as a top coat.

Tomorrow I am planning to wear a burnt orange cotton overshirt, with some sort of silky fabric taupe coloured (oh alright beigeish) blush cargoes, and thought the orange nail polish would look better.

I am using an acetone free polish remover, and so far it hasn't touched it!

Short of actually filling a bowl and dunking my toes (impossible, I haven't got enough, remover that is, not toes) or taking some sort of sander to my toe nails) I am stuck.

I think in the short term I may just have to paint over, but the build up could be a problem!

Just had the same problem as you Phoenix, I had put pale pink polish on toenails followed by dabbed on sparkly bits. looked great all week.Came to take it off and it took ages and tons of cotton wool and remover. perhaps I need the other kind of remover, will have to buy some.

roses I bought Sally Hansen Strengthening Polish Remover, unlike my other one this does contain Acetone, but also "Pro vitamin B5, & Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein" (apparently) hmm

Surprised it doesn't also say "Fragranced with Fairy Farts" but I suppose there is a limit as to how far you can go before falling foul of Trading Standards.

Does anyone's have a problem with Sally Hanson polish? I've tried several bottles over the years and was always disappointed. Seem to go on streaky and always smudge and chip. I don't bother to try it anymore.

I can't remember ever having bought the polish Envious. I only paint my toenails (finger nails are not worthy of being adorned!) so tend to just buy Rimmel, Maybelline etc.

Thanks Phoenix, I bought some of the Sally Hanson in Tesco today, so will be using the sparkly stuff again( it was a bit panicky when it took so long!)but it does look pretty, just a bit of it over a coloured varnish.Pretty toes are important all year round!
