Eyebrows

I've seen that advertisement phoenix and wondered about it. Of late I've become slightly eyebrow obsessed, I put it down to my eyelashes no longer being lush like they were when I was young. I've been spending more money on eyebrow products, I use three products on brows at the moment the best being "gimme brow" by Benefit, I've got another good brow pencil called Archery, but I can't see who makes it even with my glasses on! I wish my brows weren't asymmetrical, one arches quite well and the other doesn't I do suffer from eyebrow envy, would love to have perfectly arched brows.

Terri I've got odd eyebrows too! One is a great shape and the other is like a wiggly line!
I use a taupe eye-shadow brushed on and then try to keep them in shape with clear mascara. Do let us know phoenix if you try this product. The reviews look OK.

I won't be trying it because the last thing I need is "extra" eyebrows! Just thought it might be of interest to those whose brows are getting a bit sparse.

Good to know I'm not alone Lona - my feeling is that some perfect symmetrical brows are achieved these days, by some, by removing most of the natural brow and then drawing replacements in. I wouldn't want to do that I believe God gave us brows for a reason, even if they are a rubbish shape

I would look ridiculous with tattooed eyebrows (my best friend has them) because I've got very pale skin and my hair is white!

I wonder if that would be of any use to me. Mine are so sparse they have to be drawn in or they are invisible. The photos show what to me are quiet thick eyebrows

I am a hairy person, but the one part of me where the hairs are sparse is eyebrows. I pencil them in but am not very expert at it, and it doesn't last, as I sweat a lot. I might try this product if I can find a light brown. Although I am still dark with about 20% grey, I don't want the artificial looking brows one sees on TV. I see I would need to also buy a remover. I will let you know how I get on.

I use this from L'Oreal - works really well on my sparse brows and is cheaper than the Amazon one!

Eyebrow products - a new one on me! I would be useless penciling anything in as I am blind as a bat!

Mine resemble Nigel Lawason's! - but they are mainly hidden behind my glasses. I occasionally pluck the bits in the middle when I start to resemble Frida Kahlo!

I've seen the adverts for wundebrow and it interested me as I too have uneven brows. I've thought of changing the side my hair is parted so the better brow will be the visible one.
How vain is that
What put me off wunderbrow was that in the video it said it stayed on till you took it off. I had visions of painful sessions with industrial strength solvent

As I was passing through some shop or other, an advert caught my eye and really rather appealed to me ~ it said words to the effect that your eyebrows aren't twins but sisters. So TerriBull, we now know that it's official ~ eyebrows are meant to be different !

I use Suqqu. Its very natural and good for 'blind as a bat' people like me as you can quickly erase mistakes but when it is dry it stays put. I get it from Selfridges when I have a day out in London. I've had mine for 2 years and it shows no sign of running out.

I just use a thick eyebrow pencil that can also double up as eye shadow. I cannot remember the brand but I bought it in Superdrug.

I use this the chiselled shape means you can kind-of 'flick' draw or use the flat side to add body. The other end is a little brush to make it all tidy. I'm quite fair and this is the only grey one I've found. Well impressed.

I dye my eyebrows brown, but not just the hairs that are obviously eyebrows. I paint on the shape of brow I like (natural) and that includes the tiny white hairs below. Then later on I pluck away the darker hairs I don't want to give me a tidy brow.

If I'm wearing makeup, I use the lighter brown powder from a brow kit and use the same powder as a soft eyeliner.

Icealittle that's a copy of the cult Asian brand Holika's 24 hour brow pencil which is much cheaper. It works brilliantly - I gave mine to my 75 yr old Mum who struggles with her brows and she's now on her 4th pencil (I order them online for her). She's got two shades now to use with different looks. Good to see something similar available in UK shops.

Like many of us who were teens in the 70's I fell foul of the over plucking that was popular then and as my natural brows were very pale anyway they became practically invisible. Over the years I have tried many different brands of eyebrow pencil as my only option is to draw myself some brows! As a natural redhead before going naturally silver this has always been a bit hit or miss as even the shades described as blonde have a definite reddish brown hue which just didn't look right on my colouring. However a few years ago I found my Hero product and it's Bobbie Brown eyebrow pencil in Grey. Now don't be put off by the appearance as it looks brown, but the trick is in how you use it, light strokes until you build up the brow, then a soft grooming with a brow brush to soften any harsh colour. Perfect, as it has no reddish brown pigment in it so it's a true ash shade which looks very natural with silvery hair!

Amazing, thanks for all the great ideas on this thread. I had thought of starting a thread to search for suggestions, now I don't need to! My eyebrows have gone from thick but well shaped to sparse and straggly. It's rather unnerving as I don't seem quite like me anymore when I Iook in the mirror...hmm maybe that's the answer ...stop looking in the mirror!

After using Estée Lauder and Bobbi Brown for the last 20 years, I have been introduced to Tropic Skincare and make-up by my DD. It's natural, smells fabulous and is much cheaper Tropic do a brilliant Eyebrow kit for those of us who are fading and the set comes with a selection of eyebrow shapers - you choose the style you like, place in your brow area and then brush the eyebrow colour in. It really works!! Also there is an eyelash extension kit which is brilliant - there are two applicators and one has fibres in and you can literally see your lashes come to life! Now I'm not easily impressed by new fangled ideas but I'm sold on these products

I hadn't heard of Tropic jogginggirl but I see it is vegan, parabens free, and not tested on animals. It is so difficult to find cruelty free makeup, so thank you for the suggestion.
