Bought anything new in the last week?

All this talk of sheepskin slippers, which almost everbody owns, is giving me slipper envy.

.....and you know you are getting old when you plant the sheepskin slippers in the garden and try and wear the blueberry bushes on your feet.Teehee!

You are looking at a nice warm pair of sheepskin slippers to keep your arthritic twinges at bay, online, when up pops an email with an offer for blueberry bushes for the same amount, and so you end up buying two new blueberry bushes and a dozen new asparagus plants.

No, I don't use a hot water bottle - strangely enough I rarely feel cold in bed, and it's really just my arms the rest of the time.

Not clothes, but I did collect 2 new pairs of glasses.

I also bought a new fire for the sitting room and (by accident) 6 electric toothbrushes of varying designs and prices. Luckily I was able to cancel those, but was not quite quick enough with the 4 different illuminated LED Christmas village models (don't ask) so unfortunately they are on their way.

I will be downloading some return labels.

Ana I am glad it's not just me. Do you do hot water bottles as well. I tend to unless it's very warm.

I had a good spend up on clothes- underpinnings, jumpers, tops and trousers and leggings when I was in UK last month - French trousers are a nightmare for me I find - just not the right shape. So nothing in clothing line for a while - but all set for the cold weather.
Had to buy a new freezer at the weekend. - had a power cut while we were away and did not switch back on - freezer off for three weeks - cleaned and disinfected and seemed OK but it is in fact smelly so easy enough decision to ditch it as we have had it about 18 years!

BTW, Nelliemoser, I live in M&S long-sleeved thermal vests for the best part of the year!

I bought my first ever pair of skinny jeans today, as well as a pair of lovely soft leggings/jeggings (not sure which they are!).

At last I'll be able to wear my long boots which have been gathering dust in the bottom of the wardrobe because they weren't right with bootcut jeans...

A minor miracle occurred today. I went to Birmingham to take DD and DGD to see the new Grand Central and none of us bought anything! My DD paid for our lunch so I had a lovely (and free) day.

I went out to our M&S this morning to look at thermal tops. Instead of the white viloft things that go scratchy, shrink and don't tuck in I bought myself two M& S heatgen thermal long sleeve vests.

They are so comfortable I am going to buy some more on line.
I know it's grannyish but my arm muscles are hurting a lot lately and keeping them warm helps. Not very trendy am I?

I have an allergy to wool, so cashmere and lambswool are like barbed wire to me. I did buy some lovely dresses from Debenhams in the Blue Cross sale for next summer

Not strictly speaking for me ... a large, thick, wonderfully warm and cozy dog bed for my old Rottie girl. She's no spring chicken anymore and her joints can't be feeling any better than mine when the weather gets cold and damp, so there you are, old girl - love you to bits and you're so worth it

All the Roger and Gallet range are lovely, I could stand and sniff them all day.
What I really need are tights that are well fitting, no Norah Batty looks, but at the same time don't cut you in half, or not a huge struggle to put on.BHS used to do good ones, no store near me, but online I guess.

Bought a bottle of Roger and Gallet Fleur de Figurier fragrant water. It smells great on me and earns me an extra cuddle and a compliment every morning from my DGs and DGD. Also bought a new pen drive so we can listen to the last 3 books in the Harry Potter series since new cars don't have a CD player.

It was retail therapy!

Four pairs knickies from Marks and Sparks. One pair blue and white stripes, one pair blue and white spotty, one pair white with black trim, one pair black with white trim.

I splashed out my birthday money on a djellaba aka dressing gown from Toast.
It's full length, doiuble-layered with a hood and gorgeous rich colours and is really warm. I've been looking for a decent dressing gown for the last 4 years

I love Joe Browns but I feel the dresses are too young for me! I still buy them though!

I am on the look out for some warm opaque tights, but somebody mentioned JL so I should look online there.

Yankee candles, which I love btw.
