How undignified to have to hold her own umbrella. If a flunkey had been holding it, she could have managed her skirts to greater advantage...perhaps.

No! I think it goes into trousers a few tiers down.

Reminds me of those ra-ra skirts so popular with little girls about 30+ years ago

I have tiered dress, worn it once - clearly one of my errors- of which there are many - I have a wardrobe full of them.

Mine is a midnight blue though. Camilla nearly always wears cream.

Unfair picture! Part of the dress is still behind the fender of the car. I think it would have been really pretty in actuality.
