Shower gel/bodywash recommendations?

Devastated to find my favourite (Liz Earle) shower body wash was empty this morning, I dug out an " emergency" (Waitrose) bottle I keep for guests who might have forgotten their own. I know, mean of me.
Anyway, I was so disappointed. It was cheap, but had no smell and it was so watery it was like washing with dilute washing up liquid!
So I suspect you get what you pay fir and more expensive products will feel nicer and last longer. But I have run out of Christmas smellies and it's not my birthday for another 3 weeks, so, what to buy?
Recommendations please!!

I got some Black Acres Soap Pantry for Christmas. It is gorgeous but think it might be made locally in Nottingham. Not near you I think?

I like Moulton Brown in its many different fragrances and the bottles look gorgeous lined up on the side of the bath.

I should stick to the Liz Earle Maw it spoils you for anything else. Although Molton Brown is lovely. It's what I buy my DIL. Luckily we have an outlet shop not too far away.
Boots No 7 do a nice shower oil. Useful to use up those £5 off vouchers they keep giving out.

Neals yard....organic and smell delicious also you can choose whether you want one to perk you up or relax you. Or I go the other way and use Sanex because its so mild and fragrant free....so I can then use a lovely perfume and not clash.

Organic Surge every time! - especially the lavender one. Not the cheapest, but lasts for ages as you only need a small amount.

I love Moulton Brown's Pink Pepperpod, and Heavenly Gingerlily. I also like Lush's Happy Hippy because I love the smell of grapefruit.

Boots Sanctuary or Soap and Glory

Korres is sometimes on half price offer at Waitress and i stock up then. The fig or black roses are my favourites. Failing that L'Occitane Almond Oil Shower gel isn't cheap but it is lovely.

I bought Fenjal from Boots and it is not overly-scented but seems to be kind to the skin.

Scottish Fine Soaps are lovely; we always use the soap, have recently bought the handwash and now I notice that they do a cream body wash (must look out for that). They do various fragrances but I like the original white one.

The one I like is 'Au Lait'

ps I use one of those net scrubbers and it seems to make shower creme/gel lather up much more.

I still like my fragrant bars of old fashioned soap!

travelsafar Fri 24-Feb-17 08:28:11

I dont care what i use, as long as it makes me feel fresh and clean!!!

Greyduster Fri 24-Feb-17 09:23:10

DH doesn't hold with all this shower gel nonsense! He insists on bars of Wright Coal Tar. ?

For in the bath I use Dove Silk Bath and wash with a Dove cream bar. I spend up to 1.5 hours in there each morning and never have a wrinkled anything afterwards (except the permanent ones)!
In the shower I like Imperial Leather Foamburst. Used with a scrunchy net thing on a long handle a little goes a long way and gives me a fresh all over feeling.

I was given a Molton brown gift set from my son and daughter in law, for Christmas janeainsworth what a treat!

One of the body washes (can't remember the spelling but its something like Oude/Ouhd/Ouhd) was soooooo gorgeous, I am using it very, very sparingly.

I like Organic Surge, too, minimouse.
I also have Argan Oil from Waitrose which comes in a tube, so is easier to take away with you. I have left it behind when staying with family, and have been told it's so nice I can't have it back!
That's okay. I know what to buy for birthday presents.

annodomini Fri 24-Feb-17 09:42:55

I feel quite embarrassed. I buy whatever is on offer in Waitrose. blush
