Would you still wear it?

I'm attending a family wedding in a few week's time. I bought a dress a few weeks ago which I absolutely love and think suits me very well - there aren't many of these around wink. But yesterday I found out by chance that one of my muuuch younger family members has bought the same dress!
What do I do? She doesn't know - at least I don't think so - that we're going to be wearing the same thing. It's a smallish wedding - 50 odd - and she's family so it's not like we can avoid each other for the whole day. It was a pricey dress and it's too late to return it now. Any ideas!?

Quite right Maw. I have worn trousers to 3 out of the 5 children's weddings. I don't think anyone noticed either way. I did check with the child involved first but they had other more pressing things to think about.

Trousers for me, too. Both as part of an appropriately smart outfit. The traditional mother of the bride/groom outfits just looked, well, ridiculous on me. At the second wedding a guest who runs a bridal shop complimented me. Until that moment it hadn't occurred to me that there was anything unusual in my choice. Oh well, what do I know?

Thanks MawBroon I am seriously thinking of the pants suit ensemble. I am more comfy in them and would get some use out of it in the future as well. Only if my hairdresser's outfit comes out a real stunner will I go that route.
