How old is too old for an Alice band?

I'm growing my hair long at the moment and have it in a bob. It's quite thick, so constantly swings in front of my face. I've read that Alice bands are making a comeback and this would keep my hair in place nicely. Is there an age limit do you think?

Hear, hear @Baggs !
I'm another band wearer, a slim black or blue velvet Alice band keeps my fine silver grey hair (cut into a lovely sharp bob) out of my eyes.
I've had a number of compliments and have no intention of doing /wearing anything other than what I want! Life's far too short to take notice of others' ?bitchy or jealous comments ?

My hair nearly got to Alice band length but I had 'a trim' yesterday and the hairdresser was a bit scissor happy!

I do like it though, even if the back of my neck feels cold.

lovely sharp bob
My ambition is to have a lovely sharp bob but it's never going to happen with my wild hair. I keep trying but I think it's time to come to terms with it and give up.

I think the fashion is for very thick ones. And, of course, once something has been fashionable for a while we don't bat an eyelid when we see people wearing; think of grannies wearing leggings a few years ago shock.
