Meghan's white coat

It certainly does look like a dressing gown in that picture. I am commenting on the coat not the wearer, in case anyone thinks I am running the wearer down, not that I care what anyone thinks.

You can be a very nice person, and a very beautiful person, and still occasionally choose an outfit that doesn't show you at your best. I am sure no one is feeling any ill will towards Meghan.

We've been ordered to "leave the girl alone" (she's a woman, actually) so please remember that this thread is about a DRESSING-GOWN COAT and who is wearing it in this particular picture, which is the only picture of a DRESSING-GOWN COAT that I've got cos I can't be arsed to find another and anyway this was in my daily paper alongside an article about homeless people in Windsor who have to tidied up before the wedding (of her in the DRESSING-GOWN COAT as it happens).... where was I? Oh yeah, please remember this is a thread about a COAT. It is not about the person wearing the coat. She is irrelevant.

How come so many of you don't get that?

Actually, I think I'll google dressing-gown coats. Wouldn't it be nice to have one that would indeed double up?

This one looks very impractical as a coat, all gapey like that. Useless in a wind. Probably fine indoors but possible a bit stiff. Also expensive a rain'd ruin it.

Oh gosh just looked at pics and im getting pop up ads for coats too. And i hadnt written anything. Its making me paranoid!
I will add I would never buy or wear a white coat. It would get grubby too quickly! But its different if you are in the public eye and have lots of coatsI suppose.

It seems that lounge wear PJ's is very popular at present,
So the dressing- gown coat would come in very handy for the school run (remembering a thread from last year lazy Mums not bothering to get dressed ) and popping to the shops.

Don't think even in my super slim teens I would have worn a coat like that (5'7", 7 st.). I would feel like a sack of spuds tied up in the middle

As for white coats, no, not practical. My DD often comments when I turn up wearing white jeans "Mum white, really" with 2 DGS & a dog, my response is "I've got a washing machine". Can't do that with a coat.

Voluntary agencies and charities are chronically underfunded; and MH problems affect one in four of us at some stage of our lives. Rightly or wrongly, people don't only follow the example of those with titles in the fashion department! Though I suppose supporting British businesses is no bad thing. (However, I am not convinced by the so called 'trickle down' effect on employment argument....but that's another matter.)

These coats have been all the rage since last year. They have no lining in them and are popular with a lot of people but not me.

I like Meghan and her clothes, really stylish. I liked the brown hat and coat on Christmas day.

I watched 'X factor UK' finals last night and thought Grace was wearing a pair of K Mart pink satin pyjama pants.

I think Meghan looks as she'll chew up Prince Harry and spit his bones out on the road. BUT, before all these monarchists get worked up I bear them no malice, as long as the British tax payer is not going to be paying for any future coats.
