Black. But more important than the colour is that they are warm enough, space under for long johns, and are waterproof/wind proof. The quality and price of ski pants varies so much that it would also have been helpful to know your budget. How much you spend may also depend on how often you will wear them. There are stretchy, waterproof outdoor trousers that you could use for other purposes with ankle "flaps" for over ski/hillwalking boots. White ski pants are popular but only look good newly washed and I guess you want to wear them for six days on a holiday.

Not too worried about budget & really not keen on black !
I have white gloves so I guess white salopettes will look good but fancied something brighter that will still compliment the jacket !

Do I see a pale blue trim on the jacket? If so go for that, otherwise I would go for a strong pastel colour, if you see what I mean? Strong primrose yellow.

Dark mauve and hat and gloves to match.

It's neutral so any colour will go. Maybe red or I've seen some great multi coloured ones.

Does anybody really agonise to this extent over what to wear with a (padded) jacket?
How on earth do some people get dressed in the morning, whether or not they are seeking compliments?

What about choice of footwear to go with it? Any particular store you like to use?

When I said white won't show the snow - I meant that, if you get stuck in a snowdrift, if there was an avalanche then white will not show up - you need something bright so that the rescuers can see you.

Although I suppose St Bernards just sniff you out and bring you brandy.
