I have so many clothes but nothing to wear. Such a vast assortment of tops that don't go with trousers. I have eight pairs of jeans and after looking at other items, the jeans go on. When I looked at things to dispise of because I have too much, many of the clothes are new or newish but I shouldn't have bought them, what waste of money sending them to a charity shop.
I never used to have this many clothes when I was working, a couple of suits, different tops and a few sheath dresses and I felt I always looked stylish. It is since being retired and shopping much more I have developed this bad habit.
Any ideas of a capsule wardrobe for retired women.

The other issue is that I'm always cold so all the lovely summery things I have I generally cover up with a cardigan both to keep my hideous wrinkly arms out of sight and for warmth. I rarely go out so tend to keep stuff 'for best' then it never gets worn and ends up being resigned to the charity bag. One thing is certain - I won't run out of clothes capsule wardrobe or not!!
