My comfiest shoes ever

This may be construed as advertising but who’s bothered!
I just wanted to share my delight at my second pair of Skechers Go-Walk as the best ever.
Not a stranger to Hotter, which I mostly love (although I only warm to a few styles) and Gabor Lady for my “posh” shoes which I can also wear all day long.
However these are like wearing slippers. Totally flexible, lovely squishy soles and so cheap.
I know I am in good company too as I spotted Dame Maggie wearing them in her film about Dames! smile

I love my Sketcher lace up ‘trainers’. So comfortable.
I wear them all the time. I didn’t know there was a Sketchers shop or they also did shoes and boots.

Caprice trainers. Blue suede with “snakeskin” markings and silver trim. About £54.99 depending on where you buy them.
Even comfier than my beloved Skechers - like walking on air.
Ordering another pair in white!

They are amazingly comfortable and I am wearing mine now! Smart, stylish and comfort too.
What more can I ask of my footware?

I buy lot of shoes from Clark's outlet, at a fraction of the price and Ihaver never been disappointed.

Thanks I will check them out.

MissAdventure Fri 28-Sept-18 21:57:42

I've found that they can vary quite a lot between styles.
I always tend to go for Mary Jane styles, and they have all felt very different.

A friend of mine had a lovely pair of navy flat shoes with a striped Velcro strap over the top from Clarke’s. Anyone here wearing Clarke’s shoes ? Are they relatively soft ?

I got a pair of lace-up Skechers trainers in a local discount shoe shop which also gives an extra discount to owners of a bus pass. They're grey with pink trim and a choice of black or bright pink laces. At the moment I'm using the black ones. They're so comfy I have to check to make sure I'm not wearing my slippers. grin

Same problem here with gravel. I 'clack' across the kitchen floor and keep a small screwdriver handy to prize out the stones.

merlotgran Fri 03-Aug-18 09:19:54

I need a size 8 so I'm quite pleased that Skecher trainers - with a Velcro strap, don't make my feet look enormous.

I love Skechers , my latest pair is a deck shoe in navy and white stripe , they look fab with , jeans ,white cropped pants or shorts, they come with white and navy laces too so you can change them around , so soft and comfy inside too,
I am not too keen on the go walk style as they make my feet look enormous ,

Gma29 Fri 03-Aug-18 07:45:28

I’m a convert too, I bought a pair in desperation a couple of years ago when I had real difficulty walking, due to a back problem. I now have 4 pairs and almost live in them, even though I’ve had my back fixed. I do find them a bit warm in this weather, and unfortunately their sandal versions just don’t fit me somehow. I have a Moshulu sandal with a shaped footbed which is also really comfortable - although not if walking any distance as it’s a toe post style.

I put all my Skechers in the washing machine, they come out very well.

I've just bought a pair of Sketchers boots, QVC's TSV. I hope they live up to. all the hype. ?

MawBroon Tue 31-Jul-18 16:38:32

It’s a Kilim, I love it too!

eazybee Tue 31-Jul-18 15:09:55

Sorry.
Much prefer the rug; it is lovely.

pollyperkins Tue 31-Jul-18 14:30:19

Thanks. Will try!

MawBroon Tue 31-Jul-18 13:43:04

I would recommend Gabor Lady (G fitting, but still smart!) and think you would get on OK with Skechers Go Walk as they are wide anyway.

pollyperkins Tue 31-Jul-18 13:10:35

I have really wide short feet with bunions and find it very hard to get shoes that fit me and are comfortable. I do have some Hotters wide fittings and also m&s wide fit footgloves. For smart shoes I got some Van Daals but they arenot that compfortable. Do sketchers come in wide fittings? If so I will have a look. I don't dare order shoes online as it's hard to find shoes to fit me and I need to try them on!

MawBroon Tue 31-Jul-18 12:59:48

Same problem with gravel from the drive Starbird, the gaps between the bouncy bits are just a bit too far apart aren’t they?
As for “ugly” , well Maggie Smith wears them in her “Something About A Dame” film and that’s recommendation enough for me!

starbird Tue 31-Jul-18 12:52:59

I have three pairs (different colours) although as a size 8 wide they look anything but dainty.

They feel so much like slippers that I went to a meeting in slippers once thinking I had my Go walks on!

Only downside is that stones from my drive get stuck in the sole.
