New in at M & S.....Made out of the left overs from the dress? We could wear these for meet ups....

When I clicked on your link mamissimo. The website came up and in front of the shirt it said "A site to behold" and it really is. What happened, did they run out of the right material and finish it off in another. ?

It's gorgeous. What are you complaining about?!

cornergran Sat 04-Aug-18 15:15:37

What a shame, I can’t wear petite clothes grin.

Auntieflo Sat 04-Aug-18 15:18:44

How awful is that? Are they getting us used to the make do and mend mentality? Not enough material, so use a bit of leftover stuff and improvise .

kittylester Sat 04-Aug-18 15:45:05

That name me feel a bit dizzy!

Jane10 Sat 04-Aug-18 15:46:26

Lovely fabric. Nice quality.

Blinko Sat 04-Aug-18 15:49:55

If only they could make it in germolene pink....

glammanana Sat 04-Aug-18 18:27:29

Truely awful !! have their designers forgotten that vertical stripes are best for petite ladies or a very small pattern.

glammanana Sat 04-Aug-18 18:29:35

I am now being bombarded with the M&S advert for said shirt {hmm]

glammanana Sat 04-Aug-18 18:30:31

^^ wrong bracket hmmhmm

Jane10 Sat 04-Aug-18 18:40:12

Well I'm off out to buy it.

Gave me the first laugh of the day.
What are they thinking.
Reminds me of wartime, it was called make do and mend.

Greyduster Sat 04-Aug-18 18:55:06

About sums it up for me! Everything they do recently smacks of desperation! There was a documentary about M&S on tv a few weeks ago, and about how they were losing their market share. Not once did they mention that they listened - or were even interested in listening - to customer feedback, especially about quality issues. They are blinkered.

Katek Sat 04-Aug-18 18:57:21

Aha! I know where this idea came from! For quite a few years there has been a men’s shirt on the market called a Sh...shirt. Very popular with rugby clubs and the like on a night out. You can check them out here-sorry about the name!

That is hideous Mamissimo. Truly appalling and just plain hideous, no matter what age or size it's meant to be for.

M&S seems to have its finger firmly pressed on the self destruct button. Every season seems to be worse than the last.

Was it only me that was a tad worried by the description that said it was "perfect for tucking into bottoms" confusedblush ?

Chewbacca Sat 04-Aug-18 19:42:38

Best place for it phoenix!

Cherrytree59 Sat 04-Aug-18 21:03:28

Katek grin

Greenfinch Sat 04-Aug-18 22:04:41

Doesn't go up to my size. Pity !!

Bathsheba Sat 04-Aug-18 22:23:09

Oh good grief! I really don't know what to say. Other than yuk shock

Jalima1108 Sat 04-Aug-18 23:34:46

Last Christmas I bought some pieces of tartan fabric to make bunting - my project this year will be to make myself a shirt out of all the leftovers.
If I tuck it into my bottom could it make my bum look big?

Jane10 Sun 05-Aug-18 10:19:04

I'm wearing it now and looking down on all you lot in your matching twin sets and pearls grin
My bum looks colossal in it so I'm very popular in some parts of the world!

Not quite on M and S thread but this reminded me of yesterday’s shopping trip. I am quite used to seeing youngsters with ripped jeans and realise you buy them like that but I was quite surprised when accompanying DGD into H and M that you can buy jumpers with holes in them and others with frayed bottoms...what if a thread gets pulled!

lemongrove Sun 05-Aug-18 14:03:31

Threads frquently get pulled on GN wink
My own bottom is rather frayed these days.
