Nivea cream

I use Aldi's too, when I remember.

I've never been religious about my beauty routine. In fact I've been known to go to bed without removing my makeup.
Luckily my skin dosen't show it.

My mother also had a beautiful skin until she died, she used Ponds and Nivea.

I confess to not using any face cream at all. I wash my face once a day with soap and water and only wear eye shadow about twice a week. I have good skin. I do use lip salve though if my lips feel dry.

I used to use Nivea with no problem as I have very dry skin. They had run out of it when I went to the store so I tried Astral instead. I now prefer that as it does not leave a film on the skin like Nivea did..

Over the past few years my skin texture has changed towards to being dry I have been using Simple Cleansing Lotion followed by Superdrugs own Dry Skin Relief Cream and what a differance they have made and you can buy the 2 items for less than £5.

I love L'Oreal Age Perfect when I can afford it. When I can't then I use Astral on my face. But the dry skin on my legs seems to benefit from Nivea. I also like Avon moisturisers.
I do tend to switch around quite a bit.

I have given up on it, I'll use it as foot cream. It made my face itchy and my skin felt taut, so I am back to my usual. I have decided to book myself in for a face massage and facial, I last had one 30 years ago, I didn't need it then, so I think I deserve it now. Thank you for your replies, they were really helpful.

Shame they stopped making the Dove cream in the maroon pot for" more mature skin".

Just a footnote to this thread.
I bought some astral cream after reading about it here.
I opened it, peeled back the foil and the most lovely 'mum' smell flooded out.
It was an absolutely glorious feeling of being small, and loved and protected and safe, just for a moment.
I have never experienced anything like it and it was totally unexpected.
So, well worth the £1.70, all in all.

Another vote for Aldi and Lidl here.

My mum always used Ponds Vanishing cream, and Ponds cold cream. I don't suppose they still make it as I never think to look. But as a child that's what I bought my mum for birthday and Christmas presents as it was so affordable. She had lovely skin, very few wrinkles.

I think they still do, but like most brands there is now a myriad of other creams too.
I was going to buy nivea, but there were too many to choose from, hence the astral.
I'm so glad I did; it felt like a spiritual moment, and I've never had one before.
