Self tanning

My legs look white and horrid and as I want to wear a summer dress (if the weather allows) for my DS’s 45th Birthday, a recommendation of a self tan would be helpful. They always smell so awful that I use it once then throw the bottle away.

My other idea is to wear some cropped leggings. Do you know where I can get some lightweight ones, all my other pairs are pretty thick and heavy ?

Superdrug have a good one St Maritza natural looking just apply with a mitt good value too

There you go, horses for courses. Today I have darkened my eyebrows but am otherwise au naturel - I do wear light foundation at times, and fake-tan my legs on holiday, but I've never coloured my hair (well, not since an ill-advised experiment wth a bleach spray in my teens).

I've never used fake tan but I bought some just yesterday for my legs.I bought Elemis Total Glow ,its a gradual tan .I dont even put the bins out without makeup but tan is something I hadn't consifered as I wear a lot of maxi dresses in summer .However after putting on what I thought was a lovely new quite fitted maxi my charming OH told me I looked lke Demis Roussos !!! No more maxi's for a while ..OH is firmy in the dog house..lol

My legs and feet tan just like the rest of me.

Regarding maxi dresses - a couple of years ago one of our daughters suggested I wore one - but I stuck to the maxim I read once about fashion ‘if you are old enough to have worn (whatever) the first time around, leave it to the younger crowd the second time around (as it’s their first time)’

I’m 65y next month.

Oh Paddyann, that made me laugh. I used to wear dark rimmed glasses and they called me Nana Miskouri...?
