I remember saying that to my daughter when she was heading off for a night out dressed in a status outfit better suited for a day at work.

My mother certainly said that. I remember only too well the row I had with her over my new, brown corduroy jeans, hipsters with a little gold buckle belt. She thought they were disgusting, goodness knows why!

My response to the post is that rules of dress have changed dramatically in the last 20 years. There are few workplaces now where dress rules are in place, customer relations and uniformed staff (and women often!) excepted. I hate Andrea Leadsom, she is the epitomy of a careless, closed mind, spiteful Tory.

I think Andrea Leadstrom is quite stylish - I like her coat. As Dominic that's not really appropriate for a cabinet meeting - Ok for Saturday morning to the supermarket. He is strange one though.
