A little shop/ boutique near us has recently opened, offering "Russian Lashes" @ £55.
Plus other versions at a cheaper price.
And other facial improvements. Plus false varnished nails etc. It'far from a wealthy area, so where do they think the money will com from?
I've seen these false lashes on the receptionist at our health centre - I thought they were spiders. Quite disturbing, even though I like spiders.
Back in the ?70s I had some false eyelashes which I put on laboriously if we were going out to a "Do" but these seem to be permanent.
What do you make of this modern fashon of bodily adornment?

lol TerriBull - you and I both ;-)! Were you also a fan of Julie Driscoll? I modelled 'my look' on hers - i.pinimg.com/236x/9f/76/33/9f7633f845a34c5c2de913799bdc1495--cool-makeup-makeup-looks.jpg

Lyndiloo I use Long4Lashes and it is amazing. Takes about a month to work but it does. My eyelashes had got very stubby but are now quite long.

I agree about heavy false lashes and eyebrows which look grotesque on some women, young and old. I recently started having my eyebrows tinted and it has made a big difference, luckily the shape of my eyebrows is good. My eyelashes are very sparse and the therapist told me you can have extensions which make them look fuller and which last a few weeks so since we have a big wedding to go to next August I may give them a try. I made an appointment for gel nails a couple of years ago prior to another wedding but got cold feet and cancelled it. I just think it’s something that you have to keep on with once you start.

Fennel it’s amazing what people will make themselves afford despite limited means. I was waiting to meet my sister-in-law a couple of months ago and sat on a seat and got talking to a woman who told me among other things that she lived on her own, was unemployed but bought all her clothes from River Island (wouldn’t dream of shopping in Primark) and was waiting to go on a sun bed which she did twice a week without fail.

Whst about those PVC eyebrows. Surely shiny eyebrows aren't normal
