I love your outfit but when I pictured Teddy coats I assumed the poster meant the really bulky ones...
I'm a size 8-10, so by no means fat, however, at 70 I know that the redistribution of weight for most of us means skinnier legs and a squared off body (where do our waists go?). I think that anything that adds unnecessary bulk to the top half doesn't look good on any of us. We could easily end up looking like a walking sausage roll.... And yes, I do care what I look like. If I knew that I looked like a walking sausage roll, I wouldn't feel like the confident me people see!
I am realising that those of us who are under a size 14/16 are far more conscious of looking 'daft' ! Or perceived a being fat? I was a size 14 up to my 50s then a major op rocketted me up o 18/20!!! I am still in perfect proportions and at 5'7" + I can carry it, I think we all know what suits us, just some maybe are used to being fashion followers with less imagination?. I've seen all ages in these teddy styles and all look good! I'd never let self conciousness of what others think stop me from trying something new
