I use Lush Aqua Marina cleanser. You can take the pot back to Lush to be recycled & get 50p off your next purchase. I also use their toner, Eau Roma, using the reusable pads someone mentioned upthread. Boots No7 serum next, I’m over 60 now, so use the pink one (previously used the blue one), topped off with Nivea Q10 moisturiser, bought when it’s half price in Tesco’s. I find sweet almond oil best for removing make up.

I’ve never heard of Tropic, which places stock it, please?

Use Aldi skincare products. Pocket friendly ,award winning, and do the job

I always used to use skincare from Superdrug, mainly due to the prices suited my pocket as well as my skin.
Then they decided to update it all and just about double the price! Tried some when on offer, but just not the same on my sensitive skin (including their bog standard sensitive range that used to be unperfumed but now for some reason is heavily perfumed )
I have always liked Liz Earle, but being on a tight budget, have had to stop using it and now am trying items containing goat milk and rose oil, that I buy from Notino.

I am finishing up my elemis products, qvc bundles. Saw a youtube video, overpriced elemis and containing fragrance. Bought 3 basic cliniques for dry skin and only then saw the videos about cerav, that same day I bought a cerav skin wash in lidl, was so much cheaper than anything else. Love cerav skin was and cannot wait to finish every other make, so I can explore cerav

Got to be honest, I am in process of attending to my `soap and water` skin every day now and what a tremendous difference, no dry areas, super smooth skin. I am hoping to get the same result by using cerav, watch this space. I have to say I always eat organic and at least 10 a day from the rainbow fruit and veg, so the building blocks of good skin are there, I just need to keep moisture in and protect from weather

I use Aldi moisturising cream, day one & also their night cream. I use their hot cloth cream to wash my face. I have used more expensive brands in the past but find these just as good ... & cheaper. my skin is soft & i think in good condition for someone in their 70's

Good morning Urmstongran and Oldernewgranny. I have been using Anne French for over 40 years but it now appears to have been discontinued. My daughter managed to pick me up 3 in Superdrug but I have almost finished them and despite trawling all the local chemists/supermarkets I have not been able to track any down. I live in the South (near Heathrow) - I would be grateful if you could advise on where you get it from.

try Bare Biology Lionheart pure fish oil omega 3 capsules. They keep hair and skin looking clear and shining

Aldi cream cleanser wash then serums and moisturise with The Ordinary products

Sainsbury's Pure Soap, Ameliorate Transforming lotion and exfoliant gloves. Victoria Health vit c drops, hyaluronic acid etc. Anyone else gone off bothering with anything to tint the face - makes masks messy?

Soap and water for me, Chanel No 5 soap for a treat or more usually Neutrogena Facial Bar.

I use Simple Eye Make up Remover.
Then ‘Anne French’ cleanser.
Followed by ‘Neals Yard’ Rejuvinating Cream.

I used to love to dollop on Youth Code by L’Oreal. Then it got discontinued!

And a tip for toenails. (sorry to digress).
They do tend to dry out in socks and boots this time of year don’t they?
A Spanish friend advised me to rub olive oil into them as and when. ‘It’s not just for salads out here’ ... made me laugh.
Anyway a drop in a shot glass on the bathroom counter reminds me & I apply it regularly, rubbing into the sides & cuticles of the nails and along the cut edge. My goodness it really does make a huge difference (and it’s cheap!).

I used to buy Simple cream eye make up remover along with their face cleanser. As I don’t wear make up very often these days I hardly use it but, when it ran out I realised that they no longer sell the cream version, just a liquid one. No matter how gentle the liquid ones are said to be I still prefer a cream one. But the only one I’ve been able to find is a Clinique one. If I’d’ve known the Simple cream one was going to be discontinued I would have bought a couple and they would have lasted me a lifetime.

I'd suggest you exfoliate once a week. I use an exfoliating pad with Dove soap - it gets rid of dead skin cells and gives you a glowing more youthful look, but don't over do it.

I use The Body Shop vit e cleanser, ive been using it for years and it has made an enormous difference. It got rid of those awful thread veins on my face after only a couple of months usage.

My elderly relatives had beautiful skin into their 90’s and they just used soap and water, but they ate real food and drank water, I think this is the key. It is what goes into your body that has the most effects, not what you put on the outside.

I use Elemis Nourishing Omega Rich Cleansing Oil, or their cleansing balm. Both brilliant products. The Elemis Pro Collagen Renewal Serum has made a difference to my skin, followed by Olay Firm and Lift cream. Clinique Take the Day Off eye make up remover is the only one that really does remove my eye make up and doesn’t upset my sensitive eyes. I use Simple if I haven’t managed to replace the Clinique but the Clinique is far superior. I’ve been given Liz Earle products recently as gifts and they are really nice too.

I’ve been given a jar of Neals Yard Beauty Balm for Christmas. It appears to have multiple uses. Anyone out there who uses it and can advise please ?

I started using essential oils on my skin these days and love the results on my skin!

I use coconut oil with a flannel wrung out in hot water for cleansing. Previously I've used Liz Earle, Eve Lom and others but coconut oil is at least as good and costs peanuts. I use a No 7 moisturiser after.

I use Neals yard frankincense moisturiser and night cream, have just started body shops vitamin E cleanser.

I will try coconut oil I bought some for cooking but don’t like it. Will also get CeraVe need all the help I can get.

It always depends on what kind of skin you have and what products you need to use. If your skin is oily or acne prone, you might want to look for products that help control oil and shine. If your skin is dry, you might want to look for products that help keep your skin moist and healthy. And if you have skin that is both dry and oily, you might want to look for products that help your skin stay in balance. Dermatologist skin care products are always a good choice because they are made for your skin type in particular.

I have open pores, especially on my chin and nose. I am 65

I started using Nivea Q10 and they have improved quite a bit.

A friend recently recommended No. 7 Pure retinol (£9 from Amazon). I have just bought some but haven't tried it yet.
