I decided to take drastic action to get my feet sandal ready.
Invested in a foot mask that apparently makes your feet shed all the hard skin.
5 days ago I bathed, put on the gloopy bootees and sat for an hour whilst the potion did it’s stuff.
Today I’m shedding skin like you wouldn’t believe!
It’s wonderful, I would post a pic but it’s not for the feint hearted?.
I would thoroughly recommend these masks.

Link ??

I will try to find where I can get these masks. My feet will thank me.

I've used these masks three times over the last 18 months, and the amount of hard skin that you shed is miraculous! Like a snake...grin

I would recommend Plantifique Avocado. I've had no adverse reactions and my feet look baby soft for months afterwards, provided I remember to keep up the exfoliation regularly. Both my daughters use them as well, with the same results!

Here's a link (sorry it's a bit long!)

Oh, and I don't have any connection to the Company, in case you were wondering!

GrandmaSeaDragon Tue 01-Mar-22 11:17:23

I have bought a foot mask in Boots that does exactly this. Quite scary how much skin comes off! (I have no connection at all with the company, except to buy items in their stores).

These are a brilliant invention.

First time I used them was 6 days before I fractured my ankle and a bone in my foot, a rather dour male radiologist was not impressed when I left skin on his X-ray table, didn’t want to know my excuse ???

Sago Tue 01-Mar-22 12:30:58

Lucca TK MaX £4.99 for 3 pairs.

Ooh I'm suitably impressed/intrigued. Off to have a look now as my feet are in dire need of attention grin Thanks everyone !

I have used these in the past to shed skin and to moisturise my feet. I get mine from a shop called Body Care. You can get them to moisturise hands as well.

These are my favourite, unfortunately they are from the long river company

I'm actually shocked. But perhaps you all can't actually reach your feet to give them a rub where they need it with pumice stone once or twice a week and then rub in a smidgen* of moisturiser.

*What's left on your hands when you just done your face.

I do that as well Baggs I am just a beauty product junkie…

These masks sound just the job for when I unveil my poor feet to the world after a winter of socks and boots.

Aveline Tue 01-Mar-22 14:22:59

I love to go for a luxury pedicure before getting my feet out for the summer. It's the only 'beauty' treatment I have so I don't grudge the cost.

I have used foot masks for the last three years.they are great

StoneofDestiny Wed 02-Mar-22 11:38:00

I've used them - but make sure you have no cuts on your feet.

Why unfortunately? We’d have been in dire straights during lockdown without such companies.
I’m going to order some now.

crozzybird Wed 02-Mar-22 12:16:50

Does one sachet do both feet ...very interested in trying these smile

Witzend Wed 02-Mar-22 12:20:25

Thanks for this - I will get some before the sandal season.

The other thing (this is gross, sorry) but I’ve suspected for quite a while that I’ve got a fungal infection in a toenail - without doing anything about it.

Last week I bought an ‘advanced’ treatment kit from Boot (Boots own) - it only needs to be applied twice a week, and I really can see a difference already.

I’ve meant to treat it before but always left it too late - obviously have to leave off nail polish and I couldn’t bear the sight of my feet without polish in sandals.

I am rather mean when it comes to spending money on myself. I have bought the exfoliating booties from B&M. I think they cost £1 and took a couple of weeks before the peeling started.

dustyangel Wed 02-Mar-22 13:08:52

As someone who is in danger of getting a bed sore after a compulsory week in bed because my heel is too”soft”, all I can say is be careful.

Gwenisgreat1 Wed 02-Mar-22 13:09:35

Well, I never knew such things existed! But yes, my feet would indeed benefit from such treatment, so thanks for mentioning it!

Daisend1 Wed 02-Mar-22 14:12:20

Thank you for sparing us the details grinMore than happy with your recommendation.
