I read your recommendation, followed your link and this afternoon received my magic trousers.
I initially thought that they wouldn’t fit me but they do - it’s magic ! I love them they are exactly what I was looking for.
Thank you ?

No more clothes shopping….clothes combining! (62 Posts)

I am starting to shed some weight and have made the decision to try not buy any new clothes for a year, with the exception of a wedding in September.

So as of today I am combining clothes I have never put together before, todays ensemble is a £12 shirt from Penny’s with my “ magic pants” £24, they go from a 12-16 are amazingly comfortable and don’t need ironing.
The shirt was for the charity shop but I’m hanging on to it now.
I think I will see my wardrobe in a new light^

This was the thread, doodle.
Lots of recommendations, suggestions, where-to-buys etc.

Maybe The Argy Management could buy us some as a corporate look for the punters.
Not that The Admiral would approve...

I'm wearing mine today and currently ordered some in other colours.

I’m glad Mary ‘s magic trousers are what you hoped OP .
What I would like are magic legs - flexible, long, slim …….. ?

Marydoll Thu 05-May-22 08:19:56

The trousers don't look much, when they come out of the packaging, but once they are ironed, they look good. If you don't iron, stick them in the tumbler dryer for five minutes and smooth with your hand. grin

I am now pondering about what my next colour will be. wink

Too right Tilly!
In my case, a fully operational pair would be marvellous!
They do look quite nice (the trousers - not my legs) but I don’t trust anything that is ‘one size fits all’ or ‘most’

Neither did I Fanny, but they do fit and are not baggy. That is why they are Magic
They are also very comfortable.

FannyCornforth Thu 05-May-22 08:45:15

They do look really nice and comfy Mary, but I am (ahem) quite large at present.
It doesn’t bother me in the slightest though, I quite like it.
But I don’t think that a pair of trousers that look good on a size 16 lady would look good on me

FannyCornforth Thu 05-May-22 08:45:54

I do like everything to be baggy on me as well

FannyCornforth Thu 05-May-22 08:47:44

Oh, and I’ll use this thread as an excuse to say Thank you Marydoll too.thanks
Nothing to do with trousers though!

LtEve Thu 05-May-22 08:57:05

They fit brilliantly, I've just bought 3 more pairs, white, mocha and camel. Today I'm wearing navy with a white top and white trainers. Rock choir won't know what has hit them! smile

Esspee Thu 05-May-22 09:01:42

I’ve just had a look.

I find that cropped trousers make me look overweight (well that’s not exactly true, I am overweight it just makes it more obvious). Some of the pics do show them ankle length but no mention of leg length.
If it’s not too much trouble Marydoll could you check the inside leg measurement for me please? I would of course be buying the large size.?

Marydoll Thu 05-May-22 09:05:42

Espee, no problem! I'm off out, I promise to do it when I return.
You have met me Espee and I bought the 16-18 size. I am a 16 and they are perfect.
I also have a size14-16 pair from somewhere else. They fir too!

Sago Thu 05-May-22 09:14:40

Sago here I’m so glad the magic trouser thread has resulted in so many purchases!
I can assure you all they are not baggy this is the “magic” bit.
Nor do the pockets or drawstring waist create any bulk.

Aldom Thu 05-May-22 10:03:03

I think I saw on the Magic trousers website that the leg length is 29" Espee

Doodle Thu 05-May-22 14:14:04

Thank you ixion I see a new Argy uniform in the making……as long as Alarma doesn’t get wind of it and wants some too ?

Jaxjacky Thu 05-May-22 15:00:46

The long are 31.4 inches inside leg Espee too short for me, I need 33/34

Marydoll Thu 05-May-22 20:24:02

Espee I measured the ones I am wearing, they are 28in long. I am 5ft, so have to turn them up. No hemming required.

Marydoll Thu 05-May-22 22:56:21

I was on YouTube tonight, when a dance video popped up.
The young, female dancer was wearing Magic Pants!

mamaa Thu 05-May-22 23:19:31

Being at a loose end this morning, having read about the wonders of magic pants on this thread, I feel I need to announce that two pairs shall be arriving here on Saturday. ??they fit ok

Marydoll Thu 05-May-22 23:23:46

I am sorely tempted, but I must restrain myself......until.......I eventually give im. wink

mamma, note, they don't look great when they come out of the bag, but once ironed, they look fine.

Allegretto Fri 06-May-22 00:20:14

I have also ordered the magic pants, after having read this thread. I’m looking forward to trying them.
