My dear grandma, never cut her hair and it and it was down to her waist, so I suppose sometimes she must have trimmed it or it woukd have been down to the floor.it was put up every morning into a low chignon. It doesn’t seem fashionable to let older people to have such long hair these days, mine rests in my shoulder and I will have a few inches off next week. How long would you go?

Delighted to see this post - decision time here. My hair is thick and curly and grows fast. Another month and I'll be able to pin it up but it's inbetween now and I don't like it at all. After gardening I look like a wild woman. Not happy with my hairdresser of about 20 years. The salon is local, reasonably priced and I begrudge spending a lot on my hair because I wash it and leave it - don't even have a hairdryer. Do I have the patience for another 4 to 6 weeks? confused

Yes! You will find it's not hard once it's long enough to pin up.
I have long hair and also no hairdryer.
Mine is washed nearly every day and air-dried.

I'm 75 and wear my hair short as it's very fine and thin. It's dark at the edges (front and back) which makes me feel like some sort of Monk)!

What amazing hair merlot but……regular posters please don’t post any more pics. A : you’re making me jealous, and B: you’re ruining my mental pic of how you look. I had you down as dark haired merlot shock

I was, Farzanah but as the grey took over in my fifties I had cap highlights, gradually increasing until it all blended in and my hairdresser said those magic words, ‘It’s all your own colour now!’

Saved a fortune. ?
