A bit too Bet Lynch?

Last week I bought a Next blue fleece top which has been ideal in the cold weather, worn indoors as a jumper or outdoors as a jacket. I therefore decided to order the same style in another colour. I chose the rust version, which can only be described as leopard print. At the age of 76 will I look ridiculous? Honest answers please! tchsmile

Leopard print is absolutely on trend.

It’s lovely and will look great with black jeans/trousers. It’s not Bet Lynch at all and thank you for posting me in the right direction for a cosy top!

I like it but would wear black trousers and black sparkly jewellery, you'll look great.

Personally I don't like animal prints for me. But f you like it, then wear it happily.

It’s not that the tan one is too ‘ bet lynch’ it’s just not as nice as the blue one, which is a shame. Wear the blue one out and the other indoors!

The leopard one looks great to me, I'm 75 and would definitely wear it. I'd bet money on you getting lots of compliments.

Well I’m the same age as you and I’ve always loved a bit of leopard print, in my book it’s just classic. My two middle aged very fashion conscious daughters would tell me if it was inappropriate in no uncertain terms. Why not, it’s just a pattern, like a check or flowers. Wear it and enjoy!

Colliedolly Tue 13-Dec-22 12:22:21

No. I love it

I think a well turned out a bit daring at any time is edgy! You'll look great, accessories? All your favourite jewelry ALL of it!! Why not?! I love having full Warpaint and top outfits when I'm in mood , I reason that I'll not regret not bothering!!!

Fernbergien Tue 13-Dec-22 12:17:54

Go for it. I wish people of a certain age would wear more colour. And a bit of jewelry too.

Christi Tue 13-Dec-22 12:13:44

My mums 95 and she would definitely wear it!

These are more what I'd call animal print, shysal
Yours is very understated, enjoy wearing it.

NotTooOld Sun 11-Dec-22 22:23:31

Animal print is everywhere. Why shouldn't you wear it? It looks great. Enjoy!

Oreo Sun 11-Dec-22 20:40:47

If you like it that’s all that matters smile

Blondiescot Sun 11-Dec-22 19:33:31

No, not at all - I love a bit of leopard print and hope I never feel too old to wear it! You go for it, and feel fabulous in it!

HeavenLeigh Sun 11-Dec-22 19:31:15

I think it’s lovely,

pascal30 Sun 11-Dec-22 10:50:33

go for it girl....

As others have said, if you like it, wear it. You will look good in either of them. I have a few animal print pieces too which I love, one of which is my late Mothers animal print head square which I now wear round my neck. It has never gone out of fashion but I would still wear it every winter regardless.

SachaMac Sun 11-Dec-22 10:44:55

It looks fine to me, if you like it wear it with pride and don’t worry what others think.
I have the blue animal print fleece gilet from Joules too MawTheMerrier I got it in the sale and have worn it loads.

Ziplok Sun 11-Dec-22 10:39:07

You wear it. Doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks. It looks good, by the way.

annsixty Sun 11-Dec-22 10:34:43

I love it.
Wear just what you like, I have three animal print blouses and love them.

Davida1968 Sun 11-Dec-22 10:08:48

You go girl! (That American expression seems appropriate here.) What's not to love? I agree with AmberSpyGlass - it's surely impossible to be "too Bet Lynch."
Wear it with pride and keep warm!

MawtheMerrier Sun 11-Dec-22 09:24:18

They both look great - now you’ve got me browsing the Next site and I am VERY tempted by the pink Borg fleece…..

Lomo123 Sun 11-Dec-22 09:23:01

I love it, you, ll look great.

shysal Sun 11-Dec-22 09:19:15

Thank you all for your comments, I shall wear it with pride. When I cuddle my leopard spotted Bengal cat she will disappear!
