Dressier house shoes

Do you have fancier house shoes that you bring with you if you are visiting? I had an invite to a house party the other day and noticed the hostess had a really lovely pair of gold pointy-toe flats with her all black outfit. She looked polished but comfortable.

We (Canadians) tend to take off shoes at the door, especially in the winter. I tend to bring some nicer slippers with me (ballet style), but think I need to up my game.

I'm off to google dressy flats.

These are quite good - and lots of colours!

I’ve got those 😄

We always take our cosy house slippers with us when visiting family and friends. If they were posh people (don't know many of those) it may be different.

Silver flat shoes with 'diamonds' across the front (from Primani) if I think the event is worthy of them. For more casual occasions tiger slippers, which fold up.

I like the Moshulu ones but I cant do flat shoes because of my Achilles tendons, sadly.

The Vivaia ones are expensive for synthetic shoes.

I was about to say the same Onwardsndupward Everyone seems to have hard, cold floors in this country.
My Swedish friends have a pile of slip-ons by their front door for guests who forget

Going to let the side down here, we don’t go to dressy things, at friends, it’s socks or bare feet, depending on the time of year.

Ditto! But I make a point of having my toenails nicely painted in bare-feet weather!

Socks or bare feet for us; it’s exactly the same for those who come over our threshold.

jackyB, I do have a pair of Birks for indoor wear, but I was thinking dressier... These are a bit expensive, but I'm sure I can find something similar for less. We've been invited to a special birthday in February which will be at a friends home, but a bit dressier occasion.

Please look at the comments on those Amazon shoes.
Not the Amazon comments.
Just search Naturaliser shoes + comments. That will give you information. It’s not good.

Oooh I do love looking at shoes! grin

This is a nice thread! I do actually need some new slippers but I need a slight heel (due to achilles tendonitis) and a cushioned insole (due to neuropathy in feet) Any suggestions are welcome.

I do like the Margot shoe by Vivalia but feel the sole is way too thin and heel too low for my needs.
