Can I have some brand suggestions to look at please?

It's a formal wedding and I'm pretty round with a big bust 🙄
I found some nice things a few months ago following a discussion on here but my ipad has deleted my open tabs and I'd not "saved" them.
Ideas very welcome.
Thank you all!

I do prefer more natural fabrics by the way - not polyester and not a fan of Jersey on the whole.
Just some where to look ideas would be great.
Thank you.

Bombshellhq are really flattering. Showing off your bust shape is important. Getting the right shape dress is key. The colours matter too. Don't wear anything washed out. Go bold. Wear a big enough hat too.

Here is a link.
Wow, those dresses are gorgeous!

A bit revealing for daytime?

NotSpaghetti Thu 16-Feb-23 11:53:33

I have had 3 bombshell dresses in the post just before Christmas to try GrammyGrammy and one was very nice on the whole (Grace) so I shall go back to Bombshell in case they have new styles.

The collar in particular was gorgeous and the overall shape of the Grace dress was perfect - but unfortunately I can't get on with the bulky tie at the front which bulges over my stomach no matter what! grin It is an integral part of the dress so can't be altered.
Thank you for reminding me. I hadn't thought of going back.

A bit revealing for daytime?

Think it depends on the style. Some are very OTT! I would want a day-to-evening one.

NS That’s the exact one that I was admiring; I like it in orange.
It’s beautiful.
But I’d feel exactly the same way about the tied belt too - that’s where I wouldn’t need any extra ‘bulk’!
Can you tie it at the back instead?

Whitewavemark2 Thu 16-Feb-23 12:03:46

My preference is definitely something quieter than Bombshell.

So I’d go for superb quality that gave me confidence without shouting about it, if that makes sense.

Beautiful, but expensive!

Samantha Sung dresses are a similar shape to the Grace dress

Beautiful, but expensive!

I know! The SS ones are even more spendy

NotSpaghetti Thu 16-Feb-23 12:13:38

No fanny, sadly,
the tie comes from a huge piece of fabric in the side seam making a fuller cross-over skirt.

I wasn't initially looking for something showy so very open to ideas if you can point me to somewhere...

Yes Marydoll they are - but the 3 I tried before Christmas were all in the sale so not so bad.

I also looked at Chesca as have had things from tgerd in the past.

I have a nice Ann Balon worn quite a lot but thought maybe O could dye it. Unfortunately I'm fatter than I was when I bought that one! shock

Boden often have Dior New Look type dresses
I’ll have a look.
I bought one a while ago, but it’s a bit ‘creasy’

I love that style, but probably wouldn't suit a wee dumpy Glesca Granny!
However, I can dream!

Oooh Mary!
They're beautiful 😍 ... even more pricy though...
But lovely

One of my favourite online shops is NancyMac, there’s rarely a garment that I don’t like.

I've a very large bust, for me easier complete coverage is lovely slim black trousers and a pretty top. Pieces purchased to fit small lower section and big bust always look best, I think. Would that work?
