Winter Boots

About 4 years ago I spent an increasingly frustrating day trying to buy a pair of black, knee high leather boots. By the end of the day I was nearly in tears as I couldn't find a pair that would zip up over my calf. I felt humiliated, which I know is ridiculous. This year I am going to measure my calf before I go but has anyone else had this problem and have you found any suitable boots. I don't know where to start looking. I need to try them on so I won't be looking online. Thanks for any suggestions.

Try Hotter boots, they do different calf widths, or at least they used to - they have been taken over. Another one bites the dust.

Taken over? Really?
My mum buys Hotter boots as she has less than slim ankles, but who does once past 80?
Look them up online or visit a Hotter shop.

Am looking forward to wearing cosy boots again.

Try Ecco. Great boots and shoes.

I went to a store yesterday which sells boots as well as clothes and there were no calf length boots. They were all ankle boots.
I have long since given up trying to find calf boots that fit.

I second duo boots. You get what you pay for

I bought M & S black leather knee high boots last winter. I have a broad foot and chunky calves. These are wide fit, but strangely, are too wide in the leg for me. I wouldn’t be able to wear standard fit though.

I believe they have the same style this year.

Try Qvc, I know they have to be posted but you have a 60 day guarantee and you are actually allowed to wear them out and about then if they are not right you can return them. Yes within 60 day even if they have been worn. Honestly they are brilliant that way .
