What shoes?

Rieker is a German company from the Black Forest. They started out maybe a century or more ago (?) making shoes for posh Italians.

Reiker have lovely styles but their boots are made of cardboard or something similar, not leather and let the rain in.

A nice wedge shoe would work well. It will give a little height too.

I'll nominate ECCO for having a great range of 'trainers' (many would never go near a gym!), walking shoes, hiking shoes, and a pump or three. Many are leather, a few 'textile'.

In my experience their products are lovely and comfortable. Not cheap though.

Having been on a cool-weather cruise, I'd be wearing trousers!
