I am searching for some new nightwear in preperation for the colder nights. Can anyone please recommend any decent brands? I am struggling as pieces always seem to be aimed at the younger market or at a 'fuddy duddy older woman'

I always buy pyjamas from M&S.

It depends on what you want. I go to Amazon as I like not long but must be below the knee cotton jersey nightdress with short sleeves. I also do not want a teddy bear or whatever emblazoned on the front.

Mum uses Damart for nightwear, and tho is aimed at the older woman tbf some of their products are good.
I prefer something more like a lacy slip but have pjs for lounging on the sofa with Mr Oreo eating popcorn and watching tv.😄

Slenderella may have something you like. My cotton summer dressing gown, with a zip fastening is from them. I've recently bought jersey cotton pyjamas from Bella di Notte. They are very pretty and comfortable to sleep in. Their nightdressses are lovely too.

Most of mine are from M&S - often the separates. But I have also dabbled with Cyberjammies.

DianaLouise Thu 29-Aug-24 11:16:01

M&S most of the time and no way fuddy duddy

One tip I got on GN was to buy a size bigger than usual - much more comfortable. Often TKMaxx have some nice sleep ware in. Also I’ve had some lovely brushed cotton pyjamas from Matalan.

Pyjamas from Boden for me - the only one's long enough.

Cotton traders have some nice cotton nightwear.

Dynawritecat Thu 29-Aug-24 11:47:58

My favourite PJs are from HUSH.

I like pure cotton pyjamas, full length legs and I'm not bothered about the sleeve length. Also I don't like thick cotton or jersey as it's too warm.
I wasn't able to find anything a couple of years ago and ended up buying a pair in pure cotton which looked great but were much too thick.
In the end I bought a pure cotton nightie from Zara, very simple and just the right weight, but I'm always on the look out for those elusive thin cotton PJ's.
