Where do I shop for nightwear?

I am searching for some new nightwear in preperation for the colder nights. Can anyone please recommend any decent brands? I am struggling as pieces always seem to be aimed at the younger market or at a 'fuddy duddy older woman'

I went to Sainsburys clothing department for some quick fix pyjamas for a girls spur of the moment getaway. They are wonderful, real cosy feel. Thinking of getting some more. Agree with the one size larger as can't stand them as a snug fit.

I have just bought two pairs of fleecyish pyjamas from Peacocks. £15 a pair.

I love my new pyjamas from Bella di Notte. They are soft jersey cotton and very comfortable.
That's not me in the photo. smile
She's rather younger.

LANDSEND do nice cotton T shirt style in midi or knee length . If you get a sale one can be quite reasonable . Comfy and last for years . My youngest son and partner bought me a couple for Xmas .

I like pyjamas from George at Asda but also love fleecy ones from Lidl for chilly Winter nights.

Two years ago, I bought some brushed cotton sets from Bon Marché in a traditional style with button through jackets in preparation for heart surgery. Unfortunately, one pair shrank on the first washing but I wasn't well enough to bother returning them as I'd bought them in an online sale. The other two pairs were fine and are comfortable to wear.

Ive just bought from Cyberjammies sale items. Beautifully presented.

CyberJammies are lovely designs and lovely cotton fabric. The adjustable straps on their slip nighties are a good feature, but mine had a plastic (not metal!) adjuster and I had one break within a few weeks of getting it. Admittedly I didn't return it (and should have) but mended it myself because it was easier.
For the price those should be metal.

I've had several nightdresses from Landsend, usually when they have an offer on. The pima cotton is a very close weave (knit?) fabric and can be too 'sweaty' in summer, but is fine any other time. The nighties come in different lengths and either long or short sleeves.

Cyberjammies for me

I've had several t shirt type nighties from George at Asda. I like them oversized with a deep scoop neckline and short sleeves. Wear them on their own during warmer months and with a cotton vest and loose cotton leggings during colder ones.

I’ve just discovered Fable and Eve. Their pjs look nice but I don’t wear them. I’ve just bought a long dressing gown and it’s beautiful.

David Neiper - brilliant quality in every way.

I've stopped wearing conventional nightwear as I find the usual pyjama trousers uncomfortable. I have very tender legs and they tend to get in folds and hurt me, so I have started wearing some cotton leggings and longsleeved T-shirts in bed. The leggings are just navy, 2 for £8.00 from Sainsbury's and the tops are in various colours, usually striped. I'm much more comfortable and plenty warm enough.

I don't wear nightwear, but if I did, I'd go to British Boxers

Marks and Spencers.

BigBertha1 Thu 29-Aug-24 14:55:29

I like Cyberjammies too.

Sainsbury’s have a good range

GrammaH Thu 29-Aug-24 14:34:02

I like Primark's fleecy winter PJs & I've had some very elegant silky lighter weight ones from there. The quality seems better than M& S...

Hemgranot Thu 29-Aug-24 14:03:21

Cotton Traders have some I’m eyeing up.

Try looking at ‘their nibs’ website - a Scottish company that sell wonderful (and sometimes slightly quirky) nightwear
Made in cotton, silk and also jersey - so original designs and often matching robes if your into this!

I recently bought one on Ebay. Lovely soft cotton/Jersey with sleeves. Choose the length you desire and it was only £12.95
