I love animal print and I have seen so many shops with leopard print in this year but I'm not sure how on board I am with it, what are your thoughts? hmm

kircubbin2000 Tue 24-Sept-24 16:09:08

My friends sister was murdered last Friday and she has asked everyone to wear leopard print at the funeral tomorrow.

So sorry to hear that kircubbin2000. Dreadful. I love animal print always have.

M0nica Tue 24-Sept-24 16:17:43

Despite the tragic connection and my sympathy goes out to you, Kirkcubbin* and your friend and family.

I loathe animal prints and would have to be paid an enormous sum of money to even think about wearing them, let alone actually wearing them.

Kate1949 Tue 24-Sept-24 16:24:32

I love animal print.

How awful kircubbin.

kircubbin2000 Tue 24-Sept-24 16:25:20

Only 43.

NotAGran55 Tue 24-Sept-24 16:27:07

How awful kircubbin. I presume the lady was an animal print lover, how cool that will be for her.

I love leopard print and have a gloriously huge winter dressing that I adore. As an autumn colouring the print suits me perfectly.

That’s just tragic.

I quite like animal print, depends on the garment of course.

MissInterpreted Tue 24-Sept-24 16:30:59

Ooh yes, love a bit of animal print! It's a bit of a standing joke in our family how much I love it, actually. Do I care? Not one jot. gringringrin

kircubbin2000 Tue 24-Sept-24 16:31:44

I like it myself and regret dumping my long leopard boots.

Sago Tue 24-Sept-24 17:05:12

kircubbin2000 My condolences.

I love leopard print, it can look good if not overdone.

I really want some leopard print jeans.

I have had my eye on leopard print jeans too ! have you seen any that you like?

Georgesgran Tue 24-Sept-24 17:35:19

I don’t think leopard print suits me in bigger garments, as browns and beiges aren’t my colours, but I’ve some leopard print gloves and a matching scarf for colder days.
I did lash out on a leopard print sarong for my jollies, but it won’t be used very often.

Shocking news kircubbin

MissInterpreted Tue 24-Sept-24 17:38:33

I agree with you there, Georgesgran - brown and beige doesn't really do much for me either, but I do love leopard print, so I've got quite a few things in both 'normal' leopard print and the grey variety.

TwiceAsNice Tue 24-Sept-24 17:55:44

I personally hate it and have never worn it. It looks fab on my 15 year old granddaughter however

HowVeryDareYou2 Tue 24-Sept-24 18:27:20

kircubbin2000 That's terrible.

I like animal prints and have got various items - pyjamas, socks, t-shirts, blouses, knickers and a bra, in either leopard, giraffe or zebra print.

Lisaangel10 Tue 24-Sept-24 19:11:25

Love animal print but prefer just a touch rather than a dress. The biggest item I have is a Hobbs animal print mac which must be 10 years old and every time I wear it someone compliments me. I have some AP capri pants and they are lovely with a plain black top.

I like scarves, underwear and nighties in AP.

David49 Tue 24-Sept-24 19:25:46

My own personal opinion a big NO, I think it makes a woman look “Tarty”, other men may find it attractive but I don’t.

Visgir1 Tue 24-Sept-24 19:32:31

That's a Yes from me..my Late Mother was a big fan too. At her funeral all the family men wore Leopard print ties.
Leopard print hasn't really gone away.

henetha Tue 24-Sept-24 19:32:48

That's so tragic, kirkubbin. I'm truly sorry for the family.
I've never worn much animal print, but did buy a nice little t- shirt this summer and quite liked wearing it.
I don't really care about age suitability but just wear what I like.

Grandmadinosaur Tue 24-Sept-24 19:37:27

That’s just so sad kircubbin2000

I love a bit of animal print and the shades suit my colouring.

David49 I agree with you in that certain clothing can be. I have a friend who is a bit Hyacinth Bouquet ish she has a furry leopard print coat but I cringe when I see her in it it gives me Bet Lynch vibes.

pascal30 Tue 24-Sept-24 19:37:34

That is tragic Kirkcubbin.. such a beautiful woman

I no longer wear animal prints.. just don't really like them. the only exception being on boots and shoes

NotAGran55 Tue 24-Sept-24 19:44:21

There you go David49 ‘ tarty’ Royals for you to insult.

JamesandJon33 Tue 24-Sept-24 19:49:25

No never. Not in a million years

MissAdventure Tue 24-Sept-24 19:51:15

I think leopard print is good for lifting people, when they're otherwise dowdy.
A bit like a nice lippy does.
