Anyone else heard of Alanduo?

They are an online clothes firm. Saw their clothes being advertised on Pinterest. They look absolutely beautiful and I was all set to order a few things but decided to look at reviews first. The reviews were terrible. Clothes nothing like the pictures and poor customer care service…….

I wonder why reputable clothes companies don’t replicate these gorgeous designs?? I’m sure they would be more expensive but so worth it for a complete change from the same old ….that we are being offered.

You have to be so careful online and you are right to read the reviews. There are so many glamorous photos but the clothes can be tatty. I agree when you say things are much the same everywhere.

No I have never heard of them. Unless I am buying from a well known and reputable company I do exactly as you have and look at the reviews. If they are bad I steer clear of such companies. Also do not buy from online places that do not give address, telephone number or email address. You cannot be to careful.

Please read the reviews on Trust pilot before you order anything. They are terrible.

They look very pretty but way too cheap to look as nice as the photos, if you know what I mean. Be careful.

A new name on me, so thanks for the heads-up. Been there, done that with several other lovely-looking clothes which turned out to be sweat-shop rubbish. A clue is the models in the beautiful photos - absolutely not being racist but, if they look Oriental, I don't let myself be fooled, as the clothes tend to be made in China from cheap fabric by people (including children) who clearly don't know the first thing about dressmaking (also designed by people who don't understand the European female form!).

I was looking at some lovely shoes online they looked so comfortable but stylish they were ‘ recommends by orthopaedic professionals’ and like you I never buy without reading reviews ……and the reviews were 100% poor

Someone I know does fashion photography, they have a seamstress on set to refit the clothes to the model. That’s why they look great. When they arrive to u they are a basic fit . It’s all smoke and mirrors

Just had a look at their website as I had never heard of them. I must admit the clothes look lovely and different. As long as the returns are easy, I would be prepared to try them. Good luck if you do.

Their clothes look lovely, just my style, but wouldn’t touch them with a barge pole after reading trustpilot. If only a trusted retailer could copy them. I’d be first in the queue.

Never heard of them

If they are made in China I think they cost. An arm and a leg to return. Also they would not be covered by UK consumer law

The photos look the same as the ones on a different site called Jones London. Beautiful looking dresses I thought so I ordered two, size medium. When they arrived the material was shiny nylon rather than linen looking, one fitted the other was a size 6 at the largest, far too small. I complained and received the reply that I could send it back to China but they probably wouldn't receive it and would accept no responsibility if they didn't. They suggested I gift it to someone!! Absolute con artists. Don't go near them! The same photos appear regularly under different company names. It is a shame, the pictures do look attractive, but the reality is very different ☹️

I always scroll to where their company info and return policies are. There is no address anywhere, but as they say in ‘about us’ that they’re in southern France you’re likely to have to send returns there, and more than likely at your cost (again it doesn’t stipulate). Without having a clear return policy and orders taking 7-21 days to arrive I wouldn’t touch them as return costs would be too high.

Not my style but looked lovely online.

I often look up Trustpilot reviews but this was the first time I have come accross a company that received 100% one star reviews and plenty of them too.

The clothes look gorgeous, so different for the price but that is the crux of the problem, you can't make a silk purse out of sow's ear.

There are not many items on there that I wouldn't love to buy. Some of the designs and materials are stunning.
However, read Trust Pilot. Avoid at all costs.
There's scant information about them but they do indeed say that someone called "Alma" wanted to make clothing that was kind to the environment, blah, blah blah. Lots of word salad but no actual information.

So, not true as South of France company doesn't exist. Alanduo has a company base in Poland, but the clothes - according to loads who have been scammed by them - come direct from China, and from where you can sometimes be offered a small token sum to avoid you thinking to send the goods back. That's if you ever get an answer to your complaints, of course.

If you think you can return items easily - beware. The postage charged almost wipes out the refund - you really are on a hiding to nothing if you try to get your money back.

I don’t buy on line unless I’ve felt and seen of the quality of the products..

I went on the website and did a reverse image search for one of the striking dresses. Thete were dozens of matches. None seemed legitimate to me and the model was in the same position in every one. Patterns just looked dropped on the dress like a gamers skin.

I am always wary of sites where you cannot see the models heads. They are usually based in China.
Having said that I sent for some stickers for my GD from Temu as she had seen them. They were dirt cheap, free postage, came quickly and they were just what she wanted.

Concordo assolutamente sull’estetica dei capi davvero eccelsa e mi sono domandata anch’io come mai le grandi o piccole case di moda non si lascino ispirare da quei colori e quei modelli!

👍🏻

But made by slave labour in horrible conditions dragonfly
