I would like some advice how do you ladies deal with this problem. Do you dye your eyebrows yourself or have them dyed professionally. My niece lost all her brows and had a tattoo that is not at all what I want.
Another fan of eyelure dye here. I also use the eyelash serum to try and enhance growth and when visiting mainland will treat myself to a threading to reshape a little.
I hate my eyebrows. I was one of many that favoured the very thin look favoured in the early 70’s. They never did grow back properly. Now I have white hairs as well as light brown and found that plucking those out meant they also stopped growing. Now I leave alone as much as possible. I suppose 1 in 6 of my hairs are now white. I use L’Oréal blonde brow artist to fill in all the gaps as this doesn’t have orange hues which I dislike.
My eyebrows are now very sparse and what there is are very fair. I used to have brown hair but for some unknown reason as well as getting some grey my hair colour has grown a lot lighter. I sometimes use a light brown pencil to darken them but I need more practice
I would not mind grey eyebrows but I have very few hairs now. thyroid issues cause hairs to fall out. I'm not as bad as the poor women who have had chemo but difficult to use a pencil where there is nothing to "paint".
Always had fine eyebrows. Have now lost half the left due to underactive thyroid. They may well be grey. My hair is. TBH...I don't look nor do I care. Honestly, in the scheme of things, eyebrows, rather like finger nails are what they are. I have more interesting things to do with my time and worry about.
Mine have gone very pale but also fall out so I have spaces free , I use a pencil but I would prefer to have them micro bladed but it is expensive and I gear it hurts ?
My brows have always been a nice shape and thickness, I just needed to pluck a few strays. Now I have a clump of white hairs near the centre that need to be dyed every few months.
Either my hairdresser will colour them, or I visit an esthetician for a wax and colour.
The best make up for eyebrows is made by Benefit -but it works out to be expensive in the long run . Otherwise I use Avon brow filler ,which is very good . The trouble with those white hairs is that they tend to be strong and wiry. I've tried trimming them , but end up tweezing them out .
I pull out the white ones. I had very bushy eyebrows when I was younger so don’t mind them being a bit sparse now. Interesting what people have written about thyroid problems causing eyebrows to disappear because OH has underactive thyroid and his eyebrows are as bushy as ever. He has been asking me to trim them but I’m a bit hesitant.
When I dye my hair I just dip my finger in the dye on my head and rub it along my eyebrows carefully. Keep my eyes shut very tight when rinsing in the shower Works for me.
I used to pluck them out when they first appeared, but there are too many now. If I'm going out somewhere other than just shopping, say, I use an eyebrow pencil over them, and also at the outer ends of the eyebrows which are becoming sparse lately for some reason.
I use regular hair dye to dye mine - Nice and Easy colour number 6, which is dark brown. My hair is a couple of shades lighter.
I squeeze about an inch of the colour and the developer into a small container. Mix it together and apply with an old mascara brush. Leave it on for about 20-25 minutes - just as you would if you were dyeing your hair.
It does say not to use the dye on your eyebrows but I have been doing it for years with no issues. I don't understand why it says this but maybe do a skin test first. A normal box dye lasts for ages.
