I would appreciate any recommendations please, for petite fitting (5ft. 0ins.) mother of the groom/bride outfits. I struggled to find anything suitable when our daughter got married (my dress was more or less re-made!!) and I’m having the same problem again as mother of the groom. I would love to be able to buy an outfit without having to undergo major alterations!

You have my sympathy. Like you, I'm 5 ft., son's wedding this Wednesday. Got a dress from Alie Street who have lovely styles and petite. Although I've had to turn up the hem on mine as I like it on the knee rather than just below. Anyway showed it daughter who was non committal, friend said Nice but could do better so niw in a panic. Since ordered dresses online which have all come up too small for the sizing. Now going to a local bridal shop tomorrow to see if they have anything suitable. Know if they do it will be pricey but worth it. I got a lovely cropped jacket from Roman

Just an update - I STILL haven’t found a wedding outfit.🙄 Hobbs’ idea of petite is not the same as mine. Their designs are too flowery and fussy as well
as being too long. I couldn’t get an appointment with the personal shopper at John Lewis. I asked an assistant what they had in petite fittings - they had nothing! So along with Hobbs, that was the sum total of the Trafford Centre offering (M&S was too casual). I’m trying wedding shops and I’ve now ordered two dresses from Gina Bacconi petites and a wildcard option from Vinted - watch this space! 5 weeks to go…
