what is your favourite hairstyle at the moment

My current style is basically how my softly curly hair was when I was a child: a chin-length bob with a side parting. It does need a good cut, but fortunately my hairdresser ex-neighbour still comes and does it.
I think the fashionable long hair with ringlets looks really lovely, but I bet it takes aa lot of maintenance.

I assume these curly ringlets start at jaw level because impossible to get the effect higher on the head. The fashion for long hair seems to me to have been around for too long. There are many more becoming styles.

Also the trend for no fringe, when often the person would look a whole lot better with the forehead covered up.

I love a fringe and always had one but now my hair is too thin, I want a fringe like Claudia Winkleman and have often toyed with the idea of buying a clip on one.

I’m boring. Still sticking with my bob, easy to care for and looks good on me (At least I think so!)

I think they look dreadful, especially on women or if someone has shaved sides and a Mohican style top bit.

Contrary to my GN name, I have straight hair 🙄
I've had a shoulder length layered bob (similar to Jennifer Aniston's 'Rachel' cut) for many years now. I've tried growing out the layers to have a true bob, but couldn't get used to it, so reverted back to the 'Rachel' style, which suits me better.

My favourite style is a straight bob just below the jawline with a side parting and a long fringe drawn to the side.

My hair has other ideas so what I have is a wavy style with a mind of its own.

I have naturally curly hair but unfortunately it doesn’t suit me as I have a wide face. So I spend half my life straightening it. I have been fighting a losing battle with it all my life especially in the 60s when I used to iron it. Once it’s straight it looks ok but any dampness in the air and it turns into a dreadful frizzy mess. You ladies with straight hair don’t know how lucky you are.

I do, I moan then I think of you and remember how thin mine became on a medication I was on years ago.

I had an awful haircut, by a hairdresser where I now live, 9 months ago. It was far too short for my face and made me look ancient. The hairdresser also took a huge chunk of hair out just behind my ear which was really noticable. I finally got it to a length where I could pin it back to hide the missing chunk and was thinking of having it trimmed to enable it to grow into a bob. My husband doesn't like long hair and has been on at me to have it cut so I chose a hairstyle which would have left me a nice shape with some length on top and would have grown back to a bob length in time for our big anniversary next December. The hairdresser agreed having seen the photo of the style I wanted.
I now have hair less than an inch all over, with a snowballs chance of looking nice. It has left me looking old and haggard, having to wear a buff as well as a hat to keep my head and neck warm. Indoors and out. I swore last time that I would go to my old hairdresser 5 hours drive away. I am definitely not going to another hairdresser here. I'm considering a wig as I have two events coming up in the next few weeks and I really don't want to wear a hat or bandana. I feel like cancelling both but have been looking forward to one event for nearly a year now and the other just short of 6 months.
I have tried at least 8 different hairdressers since moving here and during a recent discussion found that several ladies have taken to cutting their own hair or having it done when they are away on holiday.

I took this photo to my hairdresser and got my boring past-shoulder-length bob cut off and am now feeling very stylish with this!
